Almost 12 months ago we first posted our unbiased, honest and genuine owners review - which many of you loved. A lot has happened since then, lots of friendships formed and over 50 videos dedicated to helping everyone understand more about the car. I may have been invited to the Audi influencer event, but I have remained true to myself throughout and I won't let that ever influence my honesty around the car and the company. (Unlike many other reviews out there - I am not paid by Audi to produce these videos which allow me to state how I honestly feel). I hope you guys appreciate this as it was probably a lot easier for me to remain silent, and enjoy being invited to future events. However, that's not why I started the channel. I started it to help others out and hope this has been a useful insight. Hope you stick around. Auzzam 👍🏽

Despite the 9 month wait and getting my Edition 1 delivered in Aug 2021, I can say that my in-car experience has been largely flawless when considering the issues you've covered here. Other than an issue registering with myaudi which took a couple of months to resolve, the MMI has never rebooted and I've not seen the SOS light on the dash. Now, there was a warning light that appeared briefly which was apparently due to the fuel lid not being screwed on properly (questionable) but after a few re-dos it disappeared. Auzzam, thanks a mil for all your insightul A3 videos over the last year, couldn't have made this choice without you. Sorry you had to eventually selll the car but will definitely continue to follow and support your channel.

Thanks bro - really appreciate it! I'm glad there are positive experiences of the car showing up in here as I do still believe it's a great car. I just wish Audi would be more transparent with what's causing the issues and when they would fix it. I'm starting to think if they are geography dependent, owners in London seem to have it worse. I literally asked a stranger in the car park of Aldi, if they had any issues with there car and they said yep reboots and random warning lights. 🤔 Where abouts are you based out of interest?

Hey Mustafa, thanks for watching and commenting bro. I would say it's worth seeing if there is a Turkish Audi group that you could maybe ask for their experience as well. The reason I say that is because I'm not 100% sure, but I get the issues are location dependent. For example when I go to particular roads it always happens and it's worse in London. That's why I'm thinking if anyone will get the issues as bad elsewhere?

I stumbled on this on my KZread home page and was interested to see what you had to say. I am not an Audi owner (last 3 cars BMW) but have owned many cars and put up with various issues in the past. Your story is very insightful and it’s certainly opened my eyes to the shocking customer services that seem quite common in the industry and the shoddy workmanship that exists. I myself am awaiting a significantly delayed new BMW M340i and will be paying much better attention when I eventually collect it and making sure that I get things resolved. Ordered it in August and was told there was a build slot with a November delivery (week 44) but this has slipped into.next year. A week ago was told anticipated build start is 14 Feb but on Friday it appears to be due to start around 03 January. Frustrating but more concerned that they will start removing options as time goes on.

Found this video, after watching the video showing all 3 trims together, which was fantastic & exactly what I was looking for. I was just about to order a new A3, first time ordering a brand new car & was already worried about any problems when ordering a new car. Always had Audi, mainly A5 & not really had any problems. Hey man great video! You articulated all the issues well. Always saddens and frustrates me to hear of the customer service issues...there is really no need for them. We shouldn't have to be so careful, recording everything, but unfortunately we are forced to. As for the tech issues, as you know I'm on my 2nd new A3 AY (the 1st been rejected) and this one still has the same SOS and MMI faults. Thanks to your workarounds they make the car usable. I am hoping for a permanent fix from Audi. But the experience has definately left me not trusting Audi's car electronics going forward.

This is part of the issue with early adoption, there hasn't been enough time for issues to be ironed out. The service side from Audi is unacceptable, I just purchased an Ara blue s3 saloon from a dealer in Middlesborough and the service has been nothing short of exceptional at every step. People assume that because it's an Audi approved dealership they are going to be good, but oftentimes the private dealerships treat their customers better because they rely on reputation, instead of the Audi name. Good luck with your next car, and the channel, too.

Great video. Our account manager from one of the fleet leasing companies we use, and whose A3 has the same problem, even told me to watch your channel for the "Guest" fix. Even though I already knew about it. My colleagues car's lease company said to take it to Audi. Lol. Seems the Audi experience is very dependent on the quality of the dealership. Unluckily for me, all SE London are owned by the same company and are understaffed for receptionists, service advisors and mechanics. No call back option on the phone number and the only people that pick up are the sales team (choose that option if you can't get through). Software fix did not fix my MMI and SOS. Still waiting for written acknowledgement that there is no software fix. 3 reminders, 3 promises and 2 months later. So a combination of a technical issue, covid staffing shortage and training, overbusy staff which leads to over promising and under delivering. At this stage care for the customer is nill. My first Audi experience, maybe my last. Not sure yet but all my facebook contacts and alsi colleagues know about my car's issues so 500+ less customers already.

New observation. If I stop my car and turn off the ignition in a poor signal area and start it up, even in guest mode, it completely looses the plot and even though i may drive into a normal signal area it cannot find a signal. Sat Nav has no idea where I am. I have to turn the car off, open and shut the doors, lock the car and start it up again for it to find a signal and work on guest mode. Somehow that resets the system. Your guest mode advice has saved my sanity! W Other than this MMI issue and useless Audi service I really like my A3. If it was my own car, and not a company car, I would have returned it months ago.

Ive been reasonably happy with A3, havent experienced anywhere near the problems ive read on here. Got a good trade in on my A3 when i placed the order for the Q4. As a follow up to my earlier comment, and highlighting that I was getting all the same issues that CRD has been reporting, after a month and a half of my nine month old A3 being off the road awaiting for parts to fix the above, I finally got my car back yesterday. Within five minutes it was telling me to “please take over the steering” ????, within 10 minutes it was randomly announcing that the car was not in lane, and by the time I got it home it was telling me there was a parking brake fault and to return it to the workshop. Hi Auzzam,I’m new to your channel and what you have experienced also happened to me with my New Audi A3 two years ago.Nobody was interested when I complained about the issues I has having even to the point they said it was me that couldn’t drive.Having passing my car test 40 years this year I was go Smacked to hear what they were saying to me,I also said,I take it the wife can’t drive too.I put it down to having the 1.5 TFSI COD model which was the worst car I have ever bought and selling it was the best thing I have even done.I was thinking of getting the 2 ltr 190 BHP but after seeing your video and all the trouble I had coming back to me I’ll give Audi a miss.Might had look at the new T-Roc 2ltr 190 4 motion when it comes out in March, what’s your thoughts on the T-Roc.

Hey bud, thats shocking to read and even more reason to stay clear of them in the future. I do like the looks of a t-roc, we actually went for a similar sized car afterwards too (e-pace) for the similar money as the A3 you end up getting much more value for money (and space!) Also I've heard VW tend to be a bit better at customer service (although ultimately they own Audi too I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️) If you need a biggish car I wouldn't worry with the A3.

Hi Auzzam, I don’t know if you remember me. I was one of your first subscribers when you ordered the A3. I know it’s old news for you and you have now moved on but I thought I would update you and your viewers of my experience with the A3 Ed1 which I received 13 months ago. The drive, comfort and general performance has been great but it stops there. I started regularly travelling to London a few months ago. MMI rebooting many times on one trip once in London. Very frustrating when using the sat-nav. Never a day goes by without the bloody SOS system launching. False tyre alerts no matter where I am. Profile resets each month so lose all my addresses. Increase the volume by one click and it goes to full volume. It takes about 20 seconds before the volume responds to turn it down. CarPlay cuts out and I have to stop the car, get out, lock and unlock. Been back to the dealer to have software upgrades but no improvement. However what angers me is that they keep saying that they have not seen these faults before. Yet it’s all over the online Audi forums. The other annoying point is that I don’t like the lane guidance where the car pushes you towards the curb not only when it touches the centre line but when there are roadworks too. It’s their only function that resets every journey so I have to turn it off at the start of every journey. Just ridiculous! Had enough. Selling for a profit and purchasing a year old Merc A250.

Thanks Ben, I think as your contract lies with your company - that will be the route you have to go down in terms of seeking a rejection. It does make the car a little more liveable. But 100% agree they are still shipping cars with the same problems today and no closer to a fix. Sorry to hear of your woes with the car mate but just a point of order….Audi UK are not actually repairing the defects. The franchise dealer is the one sorting out any issues and my past experience is that dealers vary wildly in terms of how far they will go to resolve any issues. I am a little surprised that Audi UK seemed not to be too interested in helping as on the occasion I contacted them directly to complain about an issue I had when taking my car in for a service with a different dealer they couldn’t be more helpful and I had the dealership on the phone within the hour apologising. However 100% whenever I went through blackwall tunnel the SOS light would come up. Another great video, thank you. I eventually got my A3 Vorsprung a couple of months ago. Obviously it wasn't the spec I saw when I ordered, I couldn't be that lucky. I've got all the issues with the MMI, random warnings and deactivation of systems and functionality. I contacted Audi to be told "we know about some of those issues and there's nothing we can do about them", if you want us to look at the other issues there's a month wait for appointments. As it's a company car I then went through the lease company who have deemed it unsafe to drive and arranged a breakdown call out. Audi Assist arrived and downloaded the error logs (it took a while) and immediately arranged for me to take it to the nearest dealer. So that's where it's sitting, I have absolutely no faith that it will be returned with any issues resolved. If I can add a couple of tips; when you get a new Audi, check the oil level, I had to add a litre at 5,000 miles. The second thing is something the Audi Assist man told me; if you're taking a car back under warranty (as I did) the dealer has to supply a replacement vehicle. If they say they don't have a car to give you, say the word 'Mobex'; it's the system the VW Group use to source courtesy cars in these situations.

To be honest, I find it better to find a decent independent Audi specialist who offer better customer service and knowledge than the authorised dealers. YOu can find a few Audi specialists who were master technicians in authorised dealers and set up their own garage. Remember, the authorised dealers are too big, have huge targets to reach and want a high turnover of jobs,so customer service ends up suffering. I found a really good Audi specialist (4Rings in Dartford, Kent), who offer great customer service (and you can speak directly to the owner/mechanic) and at a cheaper cost. Also, there's an issue odf the brake servo pressure sensor failiing on a range of Audi's (I think B9), that if you don't replace the sensor quick enough it can 'brick' the ABS, costing over £2k to replace. There are tons of owners who get the warning message for this problem. Audi are well aware but they haven't sent out a recall/notice to owners and have not taken any responsibility when emails have been sent to their HQ - thy say they are not aware of a wide scale issue which is a lie.

Hi Azuum, In my experience from Turkey, I bought it on August 2021 my first problem SOS warning while I I had the warning I was able to use wireless carplay feature but sometimes the carplay suddenly disconnect while on the road, and sometime the MMI screean does not open when I start engine, The service provider said us the SOS problem will fix by changing elektronic component but after we apply the fix you will lose wireless carplay feature and you can just use carplay by cable wired, I accept the solution, the they applied the appropriate fix to my car, After that I never faced SOS warning problem again, But the MMI does not open problem still on going sometimes when i start the engine at least a week, Last week I went to the service provider again than explain the problem they said us we will apply configuration update , I accept i left up my car to the service, After they applied the configuration update I take my car from service, I check the sofrware version from MMI menu there were not any changes before I left the car, but I have not faced the same MMI does not open problem so far since I take my car from service provider, But They do not say anything about the wireless carplay feature they do not have any information about it, I do not know the feature will be activate by new software update or something else, because SOS unit has been changed in my car so that is reflected by wireless carplay feature software update in future , oneone else who have the same wireless carplay problem who was able to solve the problem any custom workaround ?

Truth is they've had these SOS warning lights at least 3-4+ years on other models and makes (e.g VW) I'm not sure they will really fix it anytime soon. Sounds like a similar situation I had with Leicester Land Rover main dealership. A couple of years ago my wife bought a brand new Evoque. A week later as I washed it I found 14 paint defects on 9 separate panels, some of which were quite large and sharp. I rang the dealership straight away and it took over 6 months for them to finally admit the car was defective and replaced it with a brand new one, complete with paint defects! I’m not kidding here, the new one was better than the first but far from perfect. Over the next 3 years it had hundreds of pounds of warranty repairs. She then traded it in for an F-Pace where the JLR dealership showed themselves to be completely dishonest bunch of crooks.

@@CRD90 It was 11 months old ex-JLR directors car. On the test drive I spotted the leather trim by the passenger's right knee had a corner damaged, the salesman said the piece of trim would be replaced prior to collection. That was confirmed in the payment stage. When wife collected it a week later the damaged trim had a blob of black paint in attempt to cover it up. Also there was a significant dent in middle of r/n/s door that wasn't there on test drive. Salesman said they'd get the dent repaired. Finally, first drive in the dark the r/n/s interior door illumination was defective. Took the car back where sales manager stated they'd replace trim and repair the door light. 3 days later got the car back with the trim not replaced and the light still broken. They then started arguing the car was used so we should expect faults. After going mad at the manager, who actually seemed like he was angry with me for objecting to their lies and poor service, they replaced trim and had to order a brand new door card just to get the light working. In the end he gave me the next service free as a small apology. The Tamworth Jaguar dealership has moved since, which is fine by me as I'd never have stepped foot in there after anyway. Oh and the dent was pulled out by a mobile dent guy (at their expense), he did a fantastic job but there was still a damaged patch of paint. The dealership said they'd paint it, to be honest it looked like they'd flicked a blob of paint at it from 6 feet away. I gave up in the end as it was all too much stress, which is probably how they manage to stay in business.

never buy a new, just released, car. You always have to wait at least more than 1 year until they fix all the issues that they new were present, but they released the car anyway because they are fuck*** evil and want to earn money inmediately.

I bought one of these and ultimately rejected it. There were too many electrical faults that the dealer couldn't fixed and so they replaced it with a second A3. The second 2020 A3 has now been at the dealer for coming up a month as I wait for them to try and fix all the problems which to my dismay are no better than the first A3. The electric handbrake keeps reporting that it has failed (second time back to the dealers for this one, and they haven’t a clue), I keep getting warnings of poor visibility on nice sunny days, pre-sense keeps giving me errors, I get random message about straying out of lane, I get random message about “please take over the steering” (?????), and the MMI is continually locking up and refusing to let me operate it for up to an hour (the usual “loading user” or “loading system”). Honestly, I bitterly regret ever going anywhere near Audi.

100% the same with us, thought we were buying a premium brand with an equal level of service. Both the car and service were shocking. Funny how you've also gone through 2 cars and had similar issues... Shows it's not just a one off.

Have to admit, I drove the 128ti recently although it might not be as futuristic in styling etc. The build quality was top notch and felt noticeable and more expensive.

@@CRD90 to be honest mate your channel was great I didn't want to jump into anything to quick and I really liked the a3 my heart was set on it dispite all the issues I heard. It was only by mistake that there was a BMW dealer right next to an Audi one near me and we needed to kill time while waiting for my girlfriend service. Test drove the 1 series and fell in love with it. The digital dash is not as good as Audi I will admit but what you can't knock is that quality feel everything you touch feels expensive. But I guess it's what you like. If you ever jump from the a3 mate there would be loads of BMW fans ready to follow ;) haha

Jesus Christ and look now, this video has 17k views they lost at least a couple hundred of new potential customers maybe even thousands. They lost maybe millions in future revenue just because there CS is terrible. What a joke.

Excellent review. Well done! I love your vids and you communicate very well like JayEmm. You are spot on about Audi. Really poor service and rip offs. The cars are problematic and dealers and HQ very poor service hence I won't buy one despite the fact they are good looking cars. What is happening with Audi is happening with lot of other manufacturers. I was an Alfa Romeo fan but sadly due to the cars unreliability and poor customer service my love has gone. I think Audi is developing the same cancer Alfa Romeo got. The left hand not knowing what the right hand is up to and dishonesty is something I agree with. But more widely this is not just happening in the car sector but in all sector. Shoddy and shambolic service is rife. Most of these companies are hiding behind covid and brexit bit like our current Government. Once they got your money, they got the power to abuse. Consumer protection is very poor these days and you are pretty much on your own. My best advice; don't spend on big ticket items for a while and lie low and save your money. Forget about another flash car for a while. The economy will be going through some hard times for a while and there will be rip off merchants every where. The new car prices are obscene and used cars have a lot of dodgy history so be careful if you are buying a used car- hpi checks are not enough and even dealer cars can be dodgy.

Thanks bud, I'm flattered with that comparison lol - especially as I watch him too! sound advice that, especially around the silly prices. My vorsprung that I sold is still up for sale lol 5 months on but luckily no one too silly enough to buy it as it's almost RRP. You won't believe the number of messages I've had from people who have gone to view the car and asking advice on whether they should buy it secondhand. I naturally advise them now to stay away if they want to remain happy LOL

@@CRD90 also I had a bad customer experience when trying to buy a new S3 and they were taking the piss asking for too much money and giving me pittance for my old car. In the end I got a two month old car in auto trader for less monlthy than audi were offering for a new car.
