I’m confused… You can take any type of screen snapshot using command + Shift + 5, why should I pay anything for what I have for free?

and he also paid for an app that ejects the drive. This is dumb. he also bought NUMI, its like SIRI but its Written Command when he can do this exactly by enabling it in settings. XD

@@pfuhad3760 Experience is really good. You got to take it slow and understand the differences of simpliest of tasks of Windows vs Mac might tkae sometime to get used to on Mac. But once you're set after few weeks/months of use. The experience gonna be good.

Safari already does continuous screenshot if you do to "File" and do a "Export as PDF"

You forgot Yoink (Included in Setapp), I can’t live without it.

Just got my first Mac, the M2 air. The screenshot looked exclusive to safari, but there are like 8 different ways to screenshot with mac.. Why is that one better? I'm used to just using the snipping tool with windows. The numi looked cool, but with spotlight you can type in your conversions and it works just fine. Things looks just like reminders. Raycast seems to look like the Automate app. I mean the things looks cool, but why cant you just say hey siri, play this playlist? I think maybe you should have went into what sets them apart from the already installed apps. But now, the Tinker app that one looked worth getting.

Hi John, luckily the Mac has an out-of-the-box apps and features for pretty much anything. I’m not replacing stocks apps for the sake of redundancy but because each one of them offers something on top or solves a need differently. Sure, you can use Spotlight to calculate and convert, but your calculations disappear while Numi keeps everything available for reference.

4:42 I know how uncomfortable it is to rotate finger each time when you have to use cmd with other button, why did Apple have to do it that why? I really don't understand

I love Numi and Paste. Two absolutely essential apps. I wish Numi had an iPhone or iPad app though.

for the privacy concerned that paste app is a bit of a no go

0:17 there’s a thing called Screenshot in the utilities folder lol but eh

i can not find alt tab

I really want paste but definitely not a fan of my copy/paste being stored in a third party app

The Paste was good before it started the subscription. I now use Raycast, the clipboard is not that powerful but free.

Is the Cleaner One Pro actually good? I heard that it actually isn't good for your mac and also the whole segment felt more like an advert rather than recomendation (as the other segments). But it would seem pretty evil to me to just mask ad for a bad product inside a top10 list like that, so I guess the cleaner is actually good?

Cleaner One Pro is an ad David and I’ve stated that at the very beginning of the video. The fact that it’s an ad, however, doesn’t mean I don’t stay behind it. It’s indeed a useful tool that I use. I wouldn’t partner with a company and a product that I wouldn’t use myself.

To capture a window without the shadow (I hate the shadow) Alt+Shift+4 then Space Bar to capture the window but then hold down Option before you click to capture the screen. No shadow and it is free.

6:44 you can alt tab and press the up button to switch between windows of the same group, also MacOS Ventura "stage manager" will make this option obsolete

Wow! Can't appreciate Windows enough! Even for stuff that are basic and out of the box in Windows, you have to search for apps and pay for it in order to enjoy Mac OS. Brilliant! I am not a Windows fanboy, but this video surely shows how much you get on Windows by default!

It is quite the opposite. In a world where you have to pay for Windows and Microsoft Office, MacOS is free, so are the equivalent apps. Also the ecosystem has no real competition.

The best thing about Windows is… Ctrl+Alt+Del! I use it multiple times a day on my Windows PC at the office, while my Mac at home has been running smooth for years! You are a Windows fan boy, admit it 😜

What do you mean....? Windows has nothing like Numi, Alfred, paste etc built in. And just like Mac, they both have buyable cleaning software. The only thing I think you could be talking about is the 'alt tab' app on Mac, which if so, is INCREDIBLY petty and narrow minded. And by the way, I used Windows for 25 years and switched to Mac 5 years ago. I love and hate both systems. I think you are just a fanboy.

Are the free tools safe. Does anyone have real life experience with AltTab and TinkerTools?

A lot of these feel like functionality fixes that MacOS doesn't have yet and it should

#1: MacOS does this already. #2: also baked into MacOS #3: if you avoid installing 3P apps, MacOS does this. #4: ok, MacOS doesn’t do this natively, but I can’t see paying for this. #5: I use Google for this. #6: there are free ones, or you can do this with Automator, Shortcuts, or Terminal. #7: just use your downloads folder. #8: OS Ventura fixed this. #9: MacOS does this. #10: Apple Notes. There. Just saved you money.

Cleaner One Pro was the only app I found interesting enough to try however it's not free. It's subscription based. There is a portion of the app that's free which I did find useful.
