Great review Justin! The Lemon 13” was what I originally was looking at getting, but I just couldn’t fit it into my overall A2E budget. Fortunately, I came across a bit of e-drum history on eBay for a price I just couldn’t resist. What I found was an old 12” x 5” Boom Theory Space Muffins (crazy name lol!) dual zone snare! It was also In fantastic condition given it’s age, and just $65! Although, since it predates mesh head technology and uses a standard Mylar head? It’s not exactly the quietest option. I was also able to track down the original founder of the company of Facebook and he and I really hit it off. Super cool guy. Anyway, thanks for everything you do amigo! Cheers!😊

Nice drumming! I just received the lemon 13” snare but having issues with getting consistent rim shots and x-sticks. Been changing sensitivity, threshold, and rim gain and rim adjust on my td9 but not fixing it. You mind sharing what settings (pad type, sensitivity, etc ) you’re using with the td7.

Really pretty great!!!! Nowadays, if you can get a good buzz roll, that is a good start! I don't even see good buzz rolls on the Alesis Strike Pro? No one hardly demo's that with the Strike Pro?

Thanks for the review. I’m debating getting this. One question. How does the cross stick work? Do you have to rest the butt of the stick on the rim? Or can you rest it on the snare head?

Thanks for talking about the lug bolts not being normal drum key . . . Can those lug bolts be switched out for "normal" drum key style bolts or would that not screw in properly?

Hi Justin, great video as always! I've seen a few videos on the Lemon T-950 kit and module and the reviews were mixed, generally cymbals and hi-hat got great review, good drums but some craftsmanship shortcuts and the module not great. There are not a lot of reviews and I see Reverb and Amazon both selling this kit which you can buy with or without the module for $1200-$1500. It seems about 1/3 the price of competition for all that. Could you possibly get ahold of one of these for testing? Trying to decide if I upgrade from my Titan 50 to go for a bigger set and maybe pair it with a used Roland TD-17 module.

I have a question for you, I notice you have different pad for the drum, does the sound module trigger the pad without no issue? Lemon pads/snare can be use on the roland sound module? I thought I ask, because saleperson would not recommend mismatching trigger pads. Thank you for your reply

  • @demonicsweaters

Yes, Lemons are totally compatible with Rolands. You can mix and match most pads, only certain ones won't work.

@@demonicsweaters I did, Justin. But it only turned up Laurin snares. In general, the cost of owning and/or upgrading edrums in Canada is quite prohibitive. Used prices are even more insane. I appreciate the suggestions, though. 👍

Bro imagine a real electric drum kit where the drums sound like a real acoustic drum with real shell/wooden with real heads so that they mimic the feeling of a real kit but when you pound or hit the drum it would not make a sound until you plug them into an amp or headset. I really think there is a real demand for an actual acoustic/electric kits for new to professional players would prefer and benefit from having higher quality electric drum kit options where they can have the precision feel and sound of an acoustic drum kit made out of wood etc. We would have to make them out of thicker material and a way to contain the sounds within the outer shell so with a reg drum the sound comes out of the drum and is sent threw the room. We need the sound to stay inside the drum and "picked up" from the inside of the drum rather than picking up the sound from the outside of the drum with microphones. Drummers would be able to get the full drumming experience and can play at all hours of the day. They will thank you while swiping their cards. I would love to become involved in such a venture if I could get involved with a development team in NYC or something I would be happy.... Lol. Im about 3.5 hrs north of the city.
