the mission gold hookers green is one of my favourite colours on my palette! it’s SO gorgeous on its own and i personally love the colour mixes for portrait painting/landscapes

Wow what a variety of mixtures under the same name! I never realized how much one color could vary from brand to brand. Just when I’ve gotten away from tubes and started mixing my own!

I wish that the Roman Szmal wasn't made with Prussian Blue because it is fugitive. It's so beautiful!

I love this series so much! I guess that I am a "pigment nerd", too! I actually own the Roman Szmal one and it love it. I found that I am using it more than I thought that I would. I love the way it granulates and the yellow undertones. I also have the Mission Gold one but I forget about using it. It is a pretty color, but I don't seem to grab my Mission Gold paint as much as I did in the past. I always look forward to seeing new videos from this series. They are some of my favorite KZread content!

Thank you these videos are so helpful. The M Graham looks more like a Perylene green to me there, some of the others look quite mossy too, I tend to think of Hookers green as a brighter green as with the Winsor Newton, Daniel Smith etc. While the others are lovely they would not be what I had in mind when ordering a hookers green. Thank You.

I have the Mission Gold one, and it's gorgeous! However, it is shiny 😭 I think I'm gonna try and mix a version of my own. ☺️ I really like the look of the QoR one!!

I haphazardly filled MGrahams Hookers green in my palette and it’s been a source of endless grief. Getting everywhere all the time because it neverrrrr dries lol. My fault I overfilled it. Now I have to do every bit of art with hookers green just to use up the splotches and smudges that have gotten everywhere in the palette. 🤣

Try storing your palette with a moisture absorber for a week or two and the m Graham may firm up some for you. I live in Washington US and it is humid here all year. I was hating my m graham paint till I thought of storing with a moisture absorber. I started doing so and no more sticky mess, it is still tachy but much less so than not using a moisture absorber.

@@reneaclark7689 me too in WA! I love my M Graham’s and when I don’t overfill the Palette like a numpty it was fine. No running nothing. Dried beautifully. Completely my fault for over filling it so badly😞

@@jennw6809 no I got moisture absorber container damprid from Amazon a 4 pack for like 12$. I just stored my paint in my art cabinet with one in there for a week or so and it helps sooo much. I am sure there are smaller versions as well, which I want to find for my paint box.

I still like my DS color and how it fared in your tests - just because of the color - but when I run out! Maybe Holbein. I hate the Schminke color - it's so blah and flat. A close third for me is the M. Graham!

Hmm I have a set of Meimeri Blu starter pigments. My first "real" watercolours. I would say that definately appears their lack of quality is pretty pervasive.

I wonder how the Roman Szmal color would hold up over time since it is mixed with Prussian Blue.

why will this video be demonetized? do they give explanations, when they do?
