FUKUOKA, JAPAN - During my trip to Kyushu island in Japan, we took the high speed Shinkansen train from Fukuoka to Kagoshima. Along with having one of the world’s best high speed railroad systems, Japan also has it down when it comes to the food!
In all train stations throughout Japan, you’ll find bentos, or neatly decorated food boxes that are available and ready to eat. It’s a big part of the railroad traveling culture to grab a bento or three, and eat them on your train ride. I bought a few and tried to get some of the bentos offering local Japanese food from Fukuoka.
The one hour high speed train ride was almost not enough time to sit back and eat everything - I wanted another hour on the train. Nevertheless, Japan really does have traveling on the train down to an art - the speed, the efficiency, the comfort, and of course Japanese food!

I just came back from Chiba, Japan. Japan is the most cleanest country. Japanese are nice and quiet. They are very obey. You won't see them eat or drink while they are walking. They won't jump in front of you when you are standing in the line. I love this country so much. I wish I could go to Japan more often. Too bad, I don't speak Japanese. I should learn the language so I can enjoy more because a lot of Japanese don't speak English but they can read Chinese.

Samurais never get extinted, they simply migrate to the kitchen. Now they use their spades to cut meat and vegetables. This chefs are real world Samurais and they use all their skills and discipline when the time to cook is on, they also apply all their Zen Budism knowlegde and techniques in all areas. Japan is simply magical, like they are from another world. A big thanks to you Mark, for helping all of us to know about this wonderfull things that often are hidden from most of us.

Not an opinion. I'm Japanese and it is an etiquette and a good manner to observe where on train. Also there are important train announcements people could miss when you're constantly talking on camera... He's a foreigner but he should have done a research if it's fine to record in shinkansen.

I understand cultures can be different and different things can be rude in different countries. But In my own personal opinion Japanese people can be overly uptight about many things, and even strait up judgmental about things like weight. It’s going to harm their tourism industry, I know because I’ve always wanted to travel to Japan because of its amazing culture (and food). But upon researching more I found that I would actually have a much happier time in South Korea or even Taiwan.
