I have been diagnosed degenerative disc disease lately and the pain has annoyed me for ages. I have started doing lower back stretching exercises twice a day, once in the morning and once before going to bed, this seems useful for me. Thanks for sharing this video with us and you deserve more likes

Wow! Thanks for sharing great stretches/exercises. These would be very beneficial to me. I'll to follow them. I'll make some of the stretches. My case is hyper lumbar lordosis but I can't walk, sit down & stand up. My laboratories are normal. I haven't done MRI. Too expensive for me. I'm from the Philippines.

Can you make a more intense core strnegthener and for hips low back sorts focus for fighters 🧘💯 love your channel the moves really help i hsd a left hip sciatic a bit i beleive massGe helps and the merve floss hit it right on the head hope to progress and heal everyday now and focus on it use ur videos too

That animation is so cool may I know where do you get them from?
I am a long time patient of disc bulge due to sport injury. Doctors recommended surgery at one time. I have been continuously following your exercises and stretching routine and really able not only to control the pain but also make body more flexible. Now I play sports regularly, even I am able to do wicket keeping in Cricket quite comfortably. Thanks you so much for such wonderful videos. Really a great help!

Thanks, I will definitely do these , my lower back hurts so bad when I walk . As lock down I have been on the sofa for months , lazy me , and my lower back is not used to me walking for more than 1 min 😩. Dam Covid , has made my depression and sheer laziness mega worse . ☹️

HI Doc, firstly thank you for such concise explanations and for showing the benefits of the exercises, I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with spinal stenosis, L5S1, spinal canal and right lateral recess stenosis. I was hospitalized and treated for pain management. The doctor recommended a Lumbar Laminectomy, However I decided to look for alternative treatments, that's how I got to your videos. From having excruciating pain which rendered me unable to bend my right leg, due to electric pain from my lower back going into my calf. I am now able to lift my leg, also I can walk fairly easily. I am on pragabalin 75, twice a day, also tamoltra 325mg. Are there any exercises one can do to reverse this condition, please can you advise me , as I'm in my late 50's. I'm not keen on surgery

Hi. I got severe lower back muscle spasms and stiffness after lumber traction. When I rest I feel less pain. But when I exercise my muscle pain increased. Specially child pose flexion exercise. What to do ??? Continue do flexion exercise or stop ???

Hey nicholas , I'm feeling tight in my hip flexors, and hamstrings. I can also feel it in my back. Do you have any suggestions on how I should attack that. The athletic trainer at my school told me I'm just tight, and I have alot of muscle knots. Do you think stretching alone would do it? And do you think getting deep tissue massages would be a good idea?

Hi Jeffe, if you train a lot then stretching alone might not get you all the way, and regular deep tissue massages are a great aid.

Hello Chu.. I cant do the stretches Dr.Nguyen, as i am super flexible & any of these stretches are like a normal walk in the park for me. My lower back muscles are super stiff & tight, which causes more discomfort than pain. Do you any other recommendations?

Corrections: i CAN do these stretches, but as i mentioned.. i am super flexible, which mean these stretches are really easy to do.. like for example, the knees to chest stretch… I basically can touch my chin with my knee with ease… help!!!!
Question - when you say to do each exercise 3-4x should you do each repetition of the exercise back-to-back or should you cycle through all the exercises 3-4x like a circuit?

I was suffering from low back pain while aiming to sleep at night. I like to sleep on my side and this was throwing my hips out of alignment. Because of this guideline, gone are the sleepless nights because of my back pain..
by getting a feeling of pins and needles down the leg mean the muscles are releasing?

if you pins and needles it could be radiation , sciatica as well.
