Anyone who ever mentions the drive in college football is referring to this throwback. A brute strength against strength, smashmouth style of football that doesn't exist today. LJ Scott will always be a part of spartan lore...superman on this day. Go Green!

Only way that era could have been better would be with Kenneth Walker lol. No disrespect to the the RBs back then, but Walker is just on another level and I can't imagine how good that team would have been

BTW, from a Spartan, we should acknowledge OSU this year. Had they NOT impressed last year, we would likely not have been in the position that we are. Their win proved that the Big Ten was as good as any conference, and winning it makes a team almost automatically deserving of a shot.

I'm an Iowa fan, but I'm very proud of Michigan State I'll be cheering them on. Awesome game. Go Green and Go Hawks.

I'm a Spartan and I bleed green. I loved every minute of that great run. I know that this is a 5 year old comment but Joe R is pure class for this comment and a great example of why I've never met an Iowa fan I didn't like. Iowa is looking really good this year and I always root for Iowa unless they're playing State. Love to see both teams do well.

Heartbreaking for this Hawkeye fan but the game was a classic. Had a great time in Indy. Michigan State fans were very gracious and classy.

I remember when I was 8 staying up until about 11 or 12 watching this interesting game. I did not move for the 3 hours this game was on because as a diehard MSU fan I wanted it so bad

Iowa fan here. Lemme first say this game was really tough to watch. Watching my Hawkeyes battle and battle and battle and come up short in the final seconds was simply heartbreaking. But we all must give credit to MSU. They fought hard as well and deserved the win. BTW this is so heartbreaking for me that I could never watch this game EVER after it happened. But I am hoping to see a rematch this year. MSU is for real and so is Iowa. Let’s hope we have a 2021 Big ten Championship game Iowa vs. Michigan State but THIS time, it will go our way 😉

Neither of those guarantees that Iowa scores that touchdown, or that MSU doesn't, respectively. Maybe next time don't let your opponent drive across the field for nine minutes, and you'll win a B1G championship game.

Dunno what to tell ya. It was an old-school, B1G style, punch you in the face kind of championship game. Shit happens. Was a good freaking game. If nothing else, it saved you from being completely dismantled by Alabama lol

Yes Ik that MSU won congrats but playing calling for OSU sucked on offense. If OSU played MSU the same way they played against Michigan and Notre Dame let's admit OSU would have won. And Iowa was overrated
