This is honestly the most complete game Bama has played under Saban. The team of course underachieved in 2010, but this bowl victory showed what they were capable of when they were focused and gave Bama fans a good feeling about 2011.

something that usually goes somewhat overlooked in this particular Bowl game was Coach Dantonio made some disparaging comments about his former boss, Coach Saban, 2 weeks leading up to it. this was one of the most physical pummelings I’ve ever seen a Saban team lay on a top opponent. McElroy 35 yards downfield running over a safety is the icing (on an end-around to Julio). this game was sealed in Q1. no way this team should’ve lost 3 games. bad OC game-plans iirc. the other games mentioned above were all whoopin’s too

Bama against LSU in the Natty is up there too

If I recall correctly, Bama knocked out the starting MSU qb early in the game, then the 2nd, then the 3rd. There wasn't anyone left who could take a snap, so the wounded starter had to back in. This was an angry, merciless team at this point, and the next year's defense would be the best ever under Saban.

This was one of the most incredible massacres I've ever seen in my 30 years of watching cfb.

I was so nervous about this game but man, that was one of the best games that they played that entire season. The only game that is rivaling this one was the top 10 matchup against florida.

18:54 You simply can not deny we had allot of powerful Runningbacks since Nick Sabana came Head Coach example as this one Eddie Lacy went up the middle against the Spartan & just Dominated them they had to be totally embarrassed by the scoreboard as a 11-1 team.

While Saban was the coach at Bama his record against the Big10 was 8-2%. And while he never lost to a Big10 by more than 7, the games he win against the Big10 were usually blowouts. Big10 sucks.

BAMA did way more than Ohio State did but that Clemson vs OH wasn’t supposed to be. OH cheated their win over Michigan to get there and got shown why earn those top spots and not just get put in them.

Fam guy and reginald hall i agree . to be honest cousins wouldnt have even got a big deal if it wasnt for 2015 (when romo and dez were both hurt) and they won a very weak nfc east at only 9-7 then people started overating him since then hes had like 1 good year an about 6 average years

This is what Saban preaches about every week. This team was way better than a 10 & 3 record.

As they should have. This thing was over at halftime. Alabama played as angry as I’ve ever seen them. They took out their frustration over Iron Bowl loss on Sparty big time.

CFB was so much better back then.

Bama got beat by South Carolina, LSU, AND Auburn that year. They we're #1 when they lost AT South Carolina.

MSU tried to act all that but go the shit whipped out of them. The players were mostly thugs. Up 21 to 0 one DB was acting out like a moron. He got owned the entire game.
