Working with issues of immigration in counseling
Moving to a new place and adapting to the norms, standards and presenting cultural variables can be challenging. From satisfying the medical and language proficiency requirements of the new location to coping with circumstances that lead to the immigration and emigration, there are challenges. Counselors must be aware of how people who immigrate and emigrate process these concerns and conceptualize this momentous event.
