Do they have apple HomeKit secure video now, allowing for recordings on HomeKit and trigger zones?

they do for the cameras, but not the doorbell but you could use home bridge for doorbell support

Just for info, you can rearrange the order that the devices are listed in the Eufy app. On the app Home Screen, click on the 3-lines in the top left, then ‘Settings’ then ‘Device Display Order” ... on that screen you can grab the “handles” and drag them up and down the list.

@@MATechKZread have you found a way of ‘muting’ alerts from HKSV? My back garden is like yours, and rarely has movement, but if someone is in the garden ... I have loads of notifications. I see there is a mute option in the Eufy app, but don’t see the same in HomeKit?

You can adjust notifications for individual devices in HomeKit and then going to settings >> notifications and then adjust accordingly. I believe using Siri Shortcuts you may be able to set time rules as well. I personally don’t use HSV but do have it set to send me notifications for certain sensors and cameras when everyone is out of the house.

Hi great video! Just wanted to know how I can increase the range of a battery cam 2c to put outside as I am struggling to get good WiFi coverage. Does it depend on how close the Homebase is to the outdoor camera or is it router dependent? Thanks for help

From what I’ve been told it’s how close to the Homebase as you don’t actually connect the cameras to Wi-Fi/Ethernet you only pair the Homebase, and then the cameras pair to the Homebase. Use the app and test it in the location you’d like to use it. I have my Homebase’s connected via Ethernet to my mesh Routers and then have one near the front of the house and one near the rear so I can place cameras around my house and get perfect signal from each.

Without them the cable comes out over time, they screw the cable in so it can’t become dislodged

Are you going to get the pro cameras that Eufy put out? Would love to see a review if you do.

Not yet as the only benefit is 2K and that doesn’t work on HomeKit as HomeKit limits 2K cameras to 1080p so kind of defeats the purpose of having the pro.

Hi, Since a while I have a Eufy wireless doorbell and also still waiting for Homekit support. Today while googling I found an "official statement" of eufy that they will not support Homekit in the current doorbell models. could you confirm this? @t

I’ve always been told the battery doorbell with the Homebase will support it via the Homebase. The hardwired doorbell is a different matter and may well never get HomeKit support

Is the solar panel from eufy or some other make?

Hi, I'm sorry but I am confused, I thought the Hub has storage enough for 30 days looping; if this is the case then where does No Monthly Fee come to play? if there is a free cloud, then why the manual doesn't show how to access it?

@@MATechKZread It is advertised that eufy cameras do not charge a monthly fee; said that indicates that eufy offers a service (i.e. Cloud Storage) when there is no cloud storage, so why say it? and if they consider local storage is a unique feature, a $30 HD zoom/pan camera offer the same feature; so what does eufy marketing mean by that?

You’d have to ask eufy but I have all local storage and those that use HomeKit secure video have the cloud portion via apple. I’m not aware of any cloud storage for my cameras and don’t get no option for this either. The cameras connect to the hub(s) not directly to the internet.

Don’t know how you’ve got that door bell in HomeKit won’t show up on mine

Doorbell doesn’t work natively but you can make it work via home bridge.

Does anyone have a issue with recording or capturing movement with the pro 2k? My inside cameras record better then the outdoor one. I miss so much in my driveway that I’m thinking of going with another brand. If it wasn’t for my Ring doorbell I would miss a lot.

Depends how you have it mounted, remember for motion assisted battery cameras the movement has to go across the frame rather than towards it to trigger the sensor faster to factor this in when mounting/positioning. Mine do fail to trigger at time but I’m covered by have 2 cameras and the 2K doorbell so will always get some recording when the first one doesn’t trigger in time.

@@MATechKZread Thanks for the reply...now that you mentioned it it does miss most of the head on action versus the same neighborhood cat that comes across the frame at 3 in the morning. And all my out door cameras were replacements for my old set up so they are plugged into power.

👍🏽 It’s not ideal but angling the cameras so the person walk across as much as towards will trigger faster. I’ve had to get used to not having 24/7 coverage myself but with a combination of the angle and having more cameras it does the same job and saves me having to worry about power cables.

Is the doorbell compatible with Homekit?

There’s plenty of storage, you should get a months storage minimum before it deletes, the recorded files are tiny and transfer to your phone within seconds.
