Now take the bike apart and make 11 videos where you go into detail on every step. Different types, brands, sizes etc. I think if you do that well it will be a solid reference for many people to use.

Great video! I think what putting most people off is all the tools you need to build a bike yourself, the building process is relatively simple and straightforward

I am hoping to make a video on the essential tools and their costs. Along with that I would like to add which tools you should spend more for quality ones and which ones you spend less. There’s definitely a cost of tools to doing your own repairs and bike builds, but I hope that can turn into savings in the long run. Thank you, I definitely appreciate the feedback!

why use the inferior ultegra crankset?

Hi @bikingchupei2447 , I chose the Ultegra Crankset because I like a 52/36 chainring combination which isn’t available with the 105 Crankset. The Ultegra crankset is one step above the 105 crankset. Thanks for the question

not with the recent crank recall by shimano which targeted cranks that were glued together, ultegera, dura ace etc, 105 is the actual top tier crankset.@@mizubikes

It’s definitely good to check if your crankset is affected by the recall, but the crank I used is a 12 speed Ultegra FC-R8100, which wasn’t part of the recall list. Only 11 speed cranksets were part of the recall.
