One of the definitions of "proud" given by the Cambridge Dictionary is "feeling happy that you have done or are part of sth good". Apparently, Vinnska is part of the Norman and Anglo-Saxon people and cultures, which he/she values as something good, this seems to fill the condition to use the word "proud", doesn't it ?

The Normans were arguably one of the most influential groups in history. Within 2 centuries they controlled half of France, all of England, southern Italy, Sicily, and Antioch. Can’t think of another group who has done that. They were not only fierce warriors but supporters of the arts and culture. Truly unique.

The normans were historically important but there are definitely more influential, larger empires. The Romans, Persians, ottomans, islamic caliphate, Mongols, british etc.

Like the Burgundians, Visigoths and such they were distinguished by adopting or adapting to Roman ways and their own, in those waves of influence. Imparting the same in return, some Normans weren't really pious either but that's war for you.

I wonder if I get the proper ness aspect of my personality from these people?
