I thought the mother having passed away was fine - I just honestly didn't like Robin and Barney divorcing. I thought it was a regression of character development. That said, it was handled well AND Barney holding his child for the first time is probably my favorite single scene of the series

Yep, breaking up Robin and Barney (who the invested in more than any couple aside Marshall and Lily) was my largest issue. Teaching your kids to keep chasing the one that never works out isn’t ideal parenting!

The mother's name *had* to be Tracy, because the kids were shocked when Ted told them the stripper was their mom. The kids would know their mother's name. So if it wasn't Tracy, the kids wouldn't have believed Ted when he said the stripper was their mother.

We do actually find out Barney's job: It's "Please". P rovide L egal E xculpation A nd S ign E verything When people ask him about his job he always says "oh, please". It sounds like he's refusing to answer the question but he's actually being honest. It's an acronym. His job is to be a legal scapegoat for his company and to sign things so he'll get blamed for them if they go wrong.

I've seen this show probably 30 times through. Its my favourite series by FAR

Christ, this show was ruined for me because of the finale's events. Robin and Barney were perfect for eachother, I kind of doubt Barney would like being a father... and Ted and Robin would NEVER get back together, ew.

No it makes sense that Barney becomes a father.When he gets his child he realizes that by not wanting him,he would do the same thing his father did to him.He knows that this kid deserves love and he gives it

I want to know what Ted is saying to his kids. Because they obviously dont see what the audience sees. Does Ted do voices for his friends?

I love these 101 facts so much that I watched this whole video without even seeing a single episode of HIMYM

I didn't know that the finale episode was that unpopular! I personally love it. I understand the fan frustration about the mother being killed off so quickly, but I still feel like it ended up for the best. Ted got the children he always wanted, and was able to grow into the man that Robin needed. After a tragedy in his life, Ted finding his way back to the girl who had always had special place in his heart. The blue french horn was perfect. The bit that angered me most about HIMYM was the Barney-Robin relationship. A one-night stand might have been OK, but definitely not a marriage. Too out of character.

It was very unpopular to the point it tanked the series' reputation & legacy, the episode got on the list of many media outlet's list of "worst episodes" and "worst finales" and even affected networks showing reruns of it on TV like they do _Friends_ or _Seinfeld_

Finally! My favorite show and my favorite fact channel! I already knew most of the facts but it was still legendary!

Love! the Show. Loved the finale. Both Ted and Tracy have Two Great Loves. Nothing wrong with that...

There was something Rushed about it --But the finale isn't inherently offensive It was obviously going that way How could a character introduced in the final two seasons be the climax character I LOVE Tracy, and she's more evolved in many ways than Robin. But Ted had an Epic love for Robin And an Enchanted love for Tracy Must people have more than one heart love in their lives I'm sure Tracy NEVER forgot Max

How I wished the show has ended: 1. That Robin got to live her child-free, independent life like she had wanted all seasons. 2. That the mother (Tracy) had stayed alive and Ted overcoming his want for Robin to lead a happy life with Tracy and their kids. 3. And yeah, again, for Ted to let go of Robin to be with Tracy and Living happily ever after with her. I just wish they had kept the one where Tracy lived, to show that not all couples are meant for one another after all, and eventually someone else can come along and fulfill what Robin couldn’t give Ted in the show. That’s just my opinion though.
