Actually, the original actress for lily was replaced or left because the twins who played lily were very difficult on set, so, on the third season they replaced the twins with the actress that we know now.

Another fun fact is that in Season 1, Phil trips on a step and just improvised the line " I need to fix that step". As you can see in later seasons, this becomes a running joke. Also, There was never a specific step that was the "Broken Step", It changes throughout the series.

Sofia Vergara's personality and charisma is contagious .. I love her!

I also liked how Sarah Hyland posted a photo with her dad, her fiancés dad, and Ty Burrell and captioned it “my 3 dads” I died from teara

Spent literally half my life watching this show. The best thing about it was that I was able to watch with my grandparents, my mother, my friends at sleepovers, then later on my friends when we came home from parties... It really is for the whole family and everyone can enjoy every bit of it. I hope I can watch it with my kids one day, show them them show like my mom showed me Married with Children, which she used to watch with her father.

I think Andy’s last name is Bailey because of the connection lost episode and they always knew there was going to be a plot between them....mainly because it was going to be Haley Bailey

Makes sense about the adoption process from cam and Mitch. There’s an episode when Mitch tells cam that he didn’t submit the forms with his name. So legally it would appear only 1 person adopted Lilly. He changed it afterwards.

#78 In a later season they tried to amend it revealing that Mitchell had adopted Lily as a single parent... Which still goes against Vietnam's adoption rules.

Ok, so I'm on series 2 right now and seeing that image of the Dunphy house all grown up just made me have an existential crisis. Does Luke really get that... old? I dread to think of how old Lily ends up looking.

Also, I'm pretty sure Hayley was 15 in the first season, or at least the first episode, but Phil and Claire have been married 16 years. That doesn't work because they got married right as they had Hayley. Maybe Hayley is really 16, or maybe Phil and Claire have been married 15 years and did in fact marry in 1994.

Here i am, just rewatched 10 seasons, spent my second last day of holidays getting a vpn to watch season 11 - that failed, and spent my last day of holidays watching all the BTS. Im so excited to watch anything related to the show and ive been putting off my homework

The salary’s are wrong for the adults because they make 500k per episode making them the second highest paid actors in tv shows.

My favorite "deliberate error" gag was in the season finale when Mitch & Cam did their "Lion King" number. Lily walked into the room ahead of her daddies, and then again right after them.

In Jay’s funeral, many crazy things and secrets are revealed, making the family take a desision of sticking together once more to get through this. HOWEVER i imagine it can be a one season show ir a movie

Ed O'Neil actually at one point was skeptical about the whole plot and didn't wanna commit also as he felt that doing 30mins sitcom wasn't the "jam" anymore for him. He was then told to read the script first before deciding and once he did, he was in and boy.. What a ride.

My grandmothers name was Stella and she loved her dogs, especially her boxer named BooBoo. Stella the dog is actually one of my favorite characters because of this. Oh and because Stella the dog is absolutely adorable 😂

In the final there was a little filming error lol, on the stairs in part two when manny and lily are talking about her crying she appears on his right. However 10 seconds later in a different shot they are switched around and then they are switches again in another shot.

I always hoped Peg and Kelly would make guest appearances since Bud did. Would be a perfect circle in ultimate sitcom history.

I grew up with a broken family when my mom and dad separated when I six. I live with my dad's family side which is just my aunt and grandma while my dad stays at a different place as he is working. Basically I'm only close with grandma who's been there my whole life and I still live with her and I just graduated from college. I also live with my dad now but we're not as close as what my grandma and I have. We struggle financially to the point where everyday, all you can hear were arguments through expenses especially on how we'll eat for the next day. This show has been dealing with my stress. Just finished it and felt like I'm part of the family which gave me a lot of laugh. I can't even move on when I finished the show because I didn't realized it's already about to be done. I cried so much during the last episode because it felt like I'm losing a family. Hopefully I'll get a decent job any sooner so financial problems in my real family will eventually be bearable. I followed their socials to keep in touch but I can't find any socials for Ed and Ty (Jay and Phil) which are my favorite characters

I dont care what everone says but I will believe that there will be season 12 😭😭😭 i beg for one! Modern family is one of the best shows I have watched.

OH let’s not forget, in The Big Game (season 5 episode 9), Gloria tells Lily: “You don’t want to wake up as a lonely 9 year old wondering where all time went.” That indicated that Lily was 9 at that time. But then, in The Storm (season 7 episodes 14), Mitch and Cam are planning Lily’s 8th birthday party. Hmmmm..
