If you have the money, definitely go with a castle XLX2 or MAMBA MONSTER X 8S or MAMBA MONSTER X If you want to stay 6s. You should also look at motors from castle, Neu, TP power. You'll be less likely to have any electrical problems between the esc and motor with any of these products.

Don’t give up brother. Put a mamba monster x in it and try again. You’ll have better results. You can there with that spectrum esc but you might want to try a little higher kv. K-Bash rc is good at running those spectrum esc. He might have some good advice for. He is on the Arrma forum a lot

@@RCKnockout dialing back your steering speed helps too. I usually run mine around 15%. Car setup is super helpful on keeping it somewhat straight. If you’re on a smooth enough road you can lock out your shocks with some suspension links. The arms flex enough and work like stiffer shocks. A little weight in the front helps with blow overs. Most importantly, don’t give up if it happens. It will happen

Warm the battery up and add another one in parallel. That esc can easily run 100mph. Lookup how cold batteries behave and you’ll understand.

Best esc for speedrun is XLX2. Don’t think you’ll need it for only 100mph though. If you plan on going faster than that in the future you would already have the esc you need to do it though

It's been awhile since i watched or did anything RC related sorry about the GPS as you said never give up hope you'll get it someday. For me last week i just refreshed my XO-1 and finally made it into a V2 still haven't run it since the refresh. I think for a new ESC maybe look into a Mamba Monster X 6s or 8s i hope to put one of the 1717 combos into my XO-1 someday.

Try turning off the lvc. Seems like it might just be hitting the lvc. Also i just bought a CNHL battery and saw a huge difference in speed over my gensace batteries which aren't even a year old. So it's possible those batteries are getting too much of a voltage drop too fast and then hitting lvc. Plus the cold weather really sucks the punch out of a battery. Other than that u should have the right setup now mechanically.

  • @RCKnockout

@@chrislang7460current ratings are based off of how much continuous current they can handle before they fail. So in actuality an xt30 can deliver the same current as a qs8 can, it will just heat up and desolder faster, doesn't really limit the amount of current......for future reference

To save more disheartening attempts. Maybe its time to commit too it with electronics. I think you could do it with mmx 8s. But as someone else has said the xlx2 has a much higher ceiling

Its vibrations are so bad i feel like that might be the reason your loosing your motor wires.. if u jam a 2mm driver in the end of the bullet connector its should spread out a little.. and u might just run a max 6 for that kinda gearing.. but if u have any wore out barings or something causing it to vibrate your going to struggle all the way to 100
