I have a buddy running a big rock with the stock 3200kv he's running 6s speed runs and hit 102mph its possible. His motor has lasted 6 months so far

I went with the hot racing slipper clutch eliminator and that allowed me to go with mod 1 gearing. I went with 32 32. Then swapped out the hubs to run grp's. I run the same esc and swapped the motor to a 2250 kv spectrum. On 6s I'm at 109 but can't keep it grounded and still have more throttle. Check out kbash. He's got it nailed. On 4s it's in the 90's all day long. Good stuff. 👍

The motor is fine on 4s. I do speed runs on mine with 6s and no issues. As long as you don't overheat the motor it's not going to be damaged. Mine has done 98mph a few times on 6s using the stock 20 tooth pinion, with the speed pinion no doubt you will break 100mph. Good luck!

Ran my infraction with same motor with 130amp esc, 50t spur, 28tpin on same 4s battery was stuck at 88mph for a month with cut outs constantly, just this morning ran with a perfect no cut out pass and hit 91mph my PB. Used a 32 pinion and its slower for reasons i dont know? Trying 30t pinion when it gets here. Need to hit 100mph on 4s.... doing a bearing kit soon. One thing i noticed on a fully charge battery i get more cut outs but once its about half way discharged is when i get a good pass. Just got to keep trying. Been running 4s on same spektrum 3900kv motor for a while now and no problems still!

Weird that you got a cut out, I bash mine on 4s high speed gearing in my favorite parking lot all the time and never had it happen Lmao. It’s on the 130a spektrum 4s esc i had pulled from something else and the rest is all stock. Well stock except for the body, it’s an infraction 3s that I painted up. The 130a esc fits in the same spot as stock with both screws. The slipper in these things is garbage, I tried the new Arrma 4s slipper but the spur is too big to get more than 65 out of it. Ended up just using plastic weld to make the stock slipper into a spool. HR makes an eliminator but my hack job is still holding so I’m not bothering to upgrade just yet.

I've got a question for you. I've got a traxxas maxx widemaxx. I just bought 3.8 badlands belted tires for it. I've already changed the gearing with a 20t pinion. I've replaced the driveshafts to heavier duty shafts. But the issue I'm having right now is that I can't get my rc turn. I have to slow way down to make a turn. I know the steering can make full turn without rubbing. But when I'm at a higher speed it won't turn. My friend told me that I need a stronger servo. Do you have a recommendation on what servo to go with that is stronger, maybe faster too, but won't brake the bank?

What 3s lipo were you running in this video? And did you ever find out the cause of the power loss? Mine cuts out on 3s with speed gearing using stock electronics and 3s zeee 80c lipos

I think your ESC detected that the motor is getting too hot. Get a more powerful heating fan.

I have only had Traxxas RC cars so I was looking to get something else but I bought a 4tec then this car came out and I was kind of mad that I spent $400 on a 4tec and this is still faster

If you change the electronics the motor is actually rated for 4s.
