Like a hi'end hi-fi shop's listening room. Two things I've wanted to have, as I saw on this vid' guy's system & (most importantly) ..can afford, is: fitting a seperate mains spur of (likely) solid -core 2+earth wire seperately feeding each of 4 (i need) dedicated decent quality.. (not silly uber hi-fi priced) ..mains sockets, each independentlywired & directly fed into our house's mains input splitter -box, with a higher current rated wiring. Not too difficult using your existing socket's feed-wires to pull through a streamlined new wire buddle length tied to the opposite end at the splitter box & pulling the new through the ducting channel while pulling out the old wires at the socket end (i rec' tying an equal+ length of twine to the new wire's end, to leave in the ducting for possible future additions & p/p fit') And secondly, like the video's guy replaced his digital item's S.M.P.S. with large external old-school linear supplies, i've procrastinated for ages on building from parts or buying a s/h.. (quality but cheap eBay) ..simple large 12v regulated linear power supply to feed my Dynavector's solid-state phono-stage & reversably bypass it's original S.M.P.S. (tho never my equally used tube phono 'stage with it's tube rect' tube regu' & tube- smoothed choke /cap supply, i'd totally ruin it!!) P.S. Despite their relatively very low current draw, I've long noticed.. (1'st via repair necessity) ..how enlarging power supply's trannies & cap' upgrading of solid state phono-stages & minimal s/state pre-amps.. (& from the video, i see digital items too / low current draw again) ...improve the sound quality more than high power items (i.m.firm.o.) & with a lottery win, I would also buy some bespoke hi-fi boutique made larger linear oversized P.S.'s for all my next & last upgraded stereo items. I've bought 2 or 3 & even maybe 4 lottery tickets in all my life ...but still no luck yet

Watching this video with all the tweaks and products I have little to no understanding about (e.g, how many times can a digital signal be "re-clocked" in a single signal path and where is the best place for reclocking to happen), I have this idea for a regular feature of your channel: Each week, or every so often, you could feature a viewer system and discuss/diagnose where the weakest link(s) are, and maybe some suggested products to address them? Could include the owner of the system, discussing his/her setup and strengths/weaknesses... What do you think? I'd volunteer to go first :)

Just wondering is that the best way to allocate your budget about 15k for the speakers and almost a hundred for the electronics front end? Or his upgrade path is the speakers making sure he has the best front end for upgrades ...

  • @interesting7906

Speakers are the most important part, everything else besides the room will impact the sound character minimally. Any budget-based approaches is doomed to failure and will only get you on an upgrade merry go round. Let your ears be the judge. Incidentally, 15k buys my favorite speakers in the whole world at the moment without any cost considerations. 😊
