I love how these bikes start out as unloved unwanted bikes and then become amazing machines.

Part 2 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6SBvNFmgKTTd9o.html Clients take priority. The Mad Max Virago is on the backburner until my customers are taken care of. Additionally, I'm more concerned with developing my craft and skills as a Motorcycle Builder than I am being a KZreadr. I put a ton of effort into growing the channel the past 2 years, now it's time to focus on the business side of things. Really want to get into an actual shop in '23 and really start taking on more clients, in addition to (probably) bringing on some help. -Jimmy

I live in Gilbert, AZ. Just spent the last year resurrecting A 1980 Yamaha XS1100 with little mechanical and electrical knowledge. She may not be a looker but she runs and sounds great. For some reason I have the urge to turbo it.... A little bit of BOOST never hurt anyone, right?

@@adamlannerd1408 I always liked the XS1100, bit heavy but masses of low down torque. Second gear roll on 'flat track' sideways was always fun (when I was 40 years younger)

Need to make your tungsten a bit shorter on the tig torch. If you do you could run slightly less gas. Other than that it looks great!

I remember the biggest issue with XJ650T was the plastic air-box splitting after about 18 months~ 2 years. It was about as bad as the Suzuki turbo, both became overweight slugs without boost. You need to tilt carburetors a bit further when setting float heights, even the slight weight of float will affect the setting and give a reading higher than it should be when carbs are fitted. Something else you should have done, after lowering forks, fit front wheel and lift it to full suspension compression to make sure it doesn't hit bottom yoke or exhaust system (or anything else) things can get real 'interesting' real quick when lowering is done badly (I used to be a motorcycle inspector, among other things) Being in Phoenix, did you go to MMI? I taught at MMI Orlando 12 years
