    That tensioner was supposed to be put on after the guides and chains, and with a flathead your push the guide on the exhaust side to where you hear a click or 2 from the tensioner. Goodluck with your build.

    I have an almost identical build, only mine is a Dc5, and mine took 10 years to build.....😭... Mine is kinda a bridge between both worlds. I do drag race it(it can make about 800whp right now on e85), but I also built it to be very comfortable for what it is, and more modern. The 10-point cage is a bit brutal, bit its not too bad. I never really plan to take the car past low 8's anyway. For the street, I run a g30-660 and it makes around 500whp. I have electric AC from a prius, Electric PS, and Drive by wire, which are all super nice. Im running a FT550 and running FT's Electronic Wastegate. I am running Bilstein Suspension with damptronic, similar to what they run on a Porsche, so I have remote height and dampening adjustment. I am runnin a PPG Syncro gearset with 1-2 Dog gears and 3-4 forged Helicals. 4.0FD. Other than that, I am runnin a Recaro SR4 which is super comfortable. Im also running a Tilton Hydraulic release bearing setup with their Twin Disc. The thing is just awesome. Holds so much power and feels like stock. I also have a line-lock for Hill Assist when I need it😅(yes Im old and lazy at times...)....... Anyway, Love this build, and keep up the great work! I hope you can get it dialed in soon and we can see it ripping 8's on the track! I just ran an 8.9@158 in October, and my car is 2800lbs and making less power. So that little hot rod should be easily capable of mid to low 8's.

    I don't think it's necessarily the 1,000 hp that isn't enjoyable. It's that most people do these 1,000 hp "street" builds where it becomes not fun. Because of how hardcore the parts need to be to hold up to that don't make it very driveable for everyday use. It becomes more of a burden than a pleasurable experience to drive. Me personally, I don't think you need any more than 350-400 hp to have an enjoyable experience driving every day. It's enough to have fun. But not be too overboard with it. 1,000 hp on the streets in the wrong hands is just asking for trouble. Not to mention is very dangerous not only for the driver. But also for everyone else who could be involved. Just for the fact that not many people actually understand the forces involved with higher horsepower and how that affects the drive itself

    Gato sale oil pan is better ☝🏻👍🏼

  • @leevs.
    @leevs.3 ай бұрын

    why did you block the oil hole in the engine but the instructions stated that you only block the hole on a k24 when using a k20 oil pump ? and then you stated that you bought the wrong timing cover because it only fits on k24 and u had to buy one for a k20. which confirms that you have a k20 but u blocked the oil hole ?

    "Now with our head studs hand tight..." Stops torquing them down with a 3/8" ratchet and sets it down smh. The reason you only install them FINGER TIGHT is to allow for thermal expansion. If you crank down on the studs with a ratchet they run the risk of expanding in the block and causing a split or pulling threads out. BIGGGGG NO NO
