Alright Randi… it’s BONUS #HighsteaksReview time @papisteak (Miami, FL) of their Beefcase (Australian Wagyu Tomohawk Marbling score 9).
Typically I review the porterhouse, and post every other Monday (still have not missed). This is an additional video on the Beefcase at Papi Steak, Miami.
I was here in December when I reviewed their porterhouse. We saw the show that they put on at a different table for a few people that ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk.
I fucking loved the Beefcase. It was $1000 which is obviously expensive but between the steak and the experience I’d say it was actually pretty worth it. I’d say it was a $400 steak and a $600 show… or a $500/$500 steak/show.
Either way I would gladly go back and get that every time I go to Papi steak. The steak itself was amazing. Seasoned really well. And the Australian Wagyu, while not Japanese A5, struck a balance with the amount of fat that I’ve been looking for, for a while. Extremely flavorful, and the right about it richness. Great steak.
I went 8.6 on the Beefcase. HUGE score.
Only other thing I’d say is that my face was red as fuck because on the way down to Miami I was driving in the express lanes with the top off, and there was a star stopped pretty close to Miami blocking BOTH express lanes.
So I was sitting there like a fucking asshole for 30 minutes in the blazing sun wearing nothing but a jersey (and shorts) just getting obliterated by the sun. Not to mention, I had to drive over the rubber pylons once I got to the front of the line… I WOULD HAVE JUST DRIVEN OVER THEM THREE MILES BACK IF I KNEW THAT WAS THE CASE. Whatever.
8.6, big time score, big times steak big time sunburn. Huge Kanye fan now too. Papi steak, Miami Beefcase, that’s your BONUS review.

That has to be the dumbest concept I’ve ever seen. You’re basically paying an extra $700 for the sole purpose of viewing the raw/uncooked tomahawk in a briefcase with lights in it. And then it’s brought out on regular plates after the cook it

@@Pravin-ko1tu that is neither art nor entertainment. That’s a poor and ridiculous way of trying to flex. The steak isn’t cooked!! All that spectacle over a raw steak in a briefcase with lights in it. And then they must return the briefcase to the kitchen to cook it. And it is incredibly cheap looking and fake like most things you see in Miami. Why? It’s a poor attempt at ripping off what “Rhain steakhouse” does in Dubai. At least Rhain cooks their gold plated steak before they place it in the briefcase, and present to the client. It goes from briefcase to plate. It’s far more sophisticated experience, and it’s done without a group of waiters yelling and dancing with a light show etc.

For the people saying this is dumb: this restaurant is expensive af. What would yall expect? If you go to an expensive restaurant you'll be spending near 500$ for a plate you'll basically finish in a couple bites.

I'd expect better food but tbh there is a ceiling on how much you should pay for steak before there is no noticeable difference in quality.
