I got about 4.3kg but I have not melted the dross yet

@@MeltsbyMozzie thank you for the info. ive been collecting 500ml aluminium cans (mostly from Tuborg beer) for quite some time, i probably have more than 1000 of them. i measured and each of them weights around 15g, so probably half of their weight is the plastic liner, printing color and aluminium oxide on the surface, so i will get 1kg from around 133 cans, which is similar to the results you got, something that makes me happy 🙂

Great collection, took me around 3-4 years to collect my supply. Good luck with your melt, I have heard that applying borax to the mix helps on getting the most aluminum

@@MeltsbyMozzie i was happy to work in a office where everyone was heavy drinker, so i made them recycling bin for aluminium cans and gathered allot quite fast 😉 thank you. i will try with borax. have you tried anything for degassing of the aluminium? bubbles and voids in the cast, that might be our next issue on the path... whats your plan for casting media? you will go with commercial green sand? i cant buy greensand where i live so i plan to try dry powdered clay with oil or cement with oil like MP Dragon channel tested...

What are you having for losses? With a 25% loss, I was guessing about 23 pounds.
