+salty rin women in countries like this often focus more on makeup since the conservatism pushes them away from having "sexy" clothing or hairstyles. this occurs more recently (as explained), but it has always been prevalent since westernization.

I agree with you, but I think she was given the task of summing up egyptian beauty in 10 minutes, so she inevitably had to generalize..I hope she makes a full length documentary about egyptian beauty/style and go more in detail about each decade, that would be so awesome!!! but I really enjoyed the short video and like you said the fact that they made a video on egyptian beauty from the first place was very nice :)

I'd love to see Great Britain. The 1910's was the end of the Edwardian era and the beginning of WWI, the 20's saw the rise of the flapper, the 40's was dominated by the war and post-war disparity, the 60's was mod, the 80's was punk and you see people like Catherine Middleton influencing style in the 2010's. I think it would be super interesting.

I believe the reason behind Egyptian Women started wearing the Hijab and more conservetive clothings since 1980 is due to the increase of religious awareness especially in this era where one of the biggest and most lovable and respectable and most influential Sheikhs of Egypt "El Shaarawy" lived .. Besides why i do not see any Niqabys at the end of the video !!? Because women in Egypt are starting to wear the "niqab" by choice again .

What Niqab? I don't see no women in Egypt wearing Niqab, they're very few and only in certain places. Even Hijab is now being taken off by many women and many women are heading more towards open hair.

I really liked what things gradually became like women wore hijab again. as she made it clear that it was a religious movement that had no basis in forcing women to wear hijab like the west always think.
