Shields are useless in hardcore. I speak from experience. Theres a delay when the shield works, and its officially counted as a bug in the minecraft bug tracking jira service desk. So many times i died because the shield either broke so quickly due to the onslaught of mobs or a creeper exploding even though the shield was up.

I think a lot of it has to with the older world players just being more calm and patient in general and they've survived longer. They aren't like the other guys who will dive straight into a cave with barely any gear.

I’ve actually had something similar to 7:35 happen to me, I was in a cave in full diamond gear with max enchanted pick and I went to fight a creeper near a lava pool, placed water down to block the lava, creeper exploded sending me towards the lava faster than the water did and the water obsidianed me in the lava and my pick was barely not fast enough, I was heartbroken 😂

3:20 this is a very interesting death. His inventory was full he ate which made him be able to pick up the ender pearl and because he was still holding down right click He immediately threw the ender pearl and got killed by it.

Jared Music do you even play minecraft? you can deflect the arrows of pillagers with a shield just like a skeleton. and for creepers you can minimize the damage you take from the explosion by putting up your shield.

A lot of these have me contemplating making a Hardcore Survival Guide video. There are a LOT of situations here where someone was in a spot they NEVER should've been, or simply panicked and started pressing random keys.

People losing their Hardcore World on day 2 with stone tools: “NOOOOOOO!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! MOTHER F@&$%*@+%(#/#@);@“ People losing their Hardcore World on day 1000 with full enchanted armor and countless hours worth of work: *”oh oops. Well… that’s unfortunate.”*

3:15 the enderman dropped a pearl that the player couldn't grab because his inventory was full, but when he eats the apple his inv is not full anymore so he grabbed and threw the pearl cause he was pressing right click to eat dying of pearl damage. Now I get it XD

Most of the deaths could have been avoided easily if they werent overconfident or careless or distracted. Playing at a slow pace, cautious and patient wins it in the end. Creeperdeaths are nasty. I try to clear the area, before i enter a generated structure like a desert temple

The guy who keeps hitting his desk when he dies is like actually trash at Minecraft lmao, he needs to take it down a difficulty or two. Once saw a clip of him mining iron with a wooden pickaxe. In hardcore. Edit: It's erobb lol

That xQc clip at 3:14 is tragically amazing in so many ways, because you wouldn't know what happened unless you paid attention. If he had chose to eat any of the other food items in his inventory, he would have survived; the bread, the potatoes, the porkchops, the fish, all of which would have kept him alive. But the perfect storm of the Enderman dropping a pearl, which itself is rare, mixed with him being so panicked he selected the porkchops but then swapped over to choosing the single apple in his inventory, mixed with him picking up the pearl before the sand block right beside it, also mixed with him being at exactly 2 hearts. All of which combined perfectly to make such a beautifully tragic moment, and the fact it wasn't scripted is absolutely phenomenal. Cinema can only wish to capture such a level of beauty.

Actually happened to me once, it wasn't a hard-core world, I was in the middle of a speed run and my axe broke with a finishing blow to an enderman, but I didn't realize it until I tried blocking my shield at a nearby skeleton and ended up using the pearl which had replaced my broken axes slot and died

It took me hundreds of failures before beating the Ender Dragon. I have been the game in hardcore only four times. The second time I had to recreate my world, the first and third times I had to create the world in creative to locate structures and then recreate it in hardcore. Only the fourth time was legit in my experience. If I died I had to create a new world with a different seed. The fourth time I created a world only once and only in hardcore mode. I admit the Ender part was very stressful for me because I was aware my days of hard work and efforts could have been in vain, and there was a risk an Enderman could have ended me as I was about to jump into the portal before the credits rolled. Fortunately I survived everything and made it to the portal safely. I made sure to take a few screenshots, even though I can’t seem to find them on my hard drive. But people can fake screenshots, even though it is not my type and I don’t see the point of doing such a thing. I do not expect anyone to believe me and that’s okay
