Gab, that was 100/100 riser pads! When I saw the thumbnail I thought maybe a shuv, but not much else and never a kickflip. Then Rick comes with perfect flick! Well played Sir

Like shoc board systems?
When cutting a threaded rod, you can put the nut on the rod below where you want to cut it. That way, you can spin the nut off and it will straighten out the crooked threads from the cut.
@Kozycz

Once I saw him start cutting I yelled at my phone, “gotta put the nut on first to back cut the treads”. It was an instinct response trying to prevent a problem that I would normally have to fix, even though I had no obligation or way to fix this one.
@bermchasin

also - you can file down the edges of the thread at the tip and it usually will smooth it out.

Also - also you can use the grinder the right way around so the sparks aren’t flying up at you. And maybe put the crocks in sport.

You can also snap the top 1/2 thread off with a pair of Channel-locks (pump pliers) in 2 seconds. Clean thread every time.

I love watching you guys. A team thats not just focused on big tricks. You guys keep skating fun like it should be. Its amazing how much talent you guys have to be able to skate anything with wheels. Great video guys.
I absolutely love the way you guys stay so creative, amazing video idea and amazing video as always braille. Love you guys ❤

Just started a couple months ago(41) and I can't stop. I love it. Just wish I had started earlier.
that kickflip is honestly incredible, well done
Every customisation you do to a board is even crazier than the last you give a new meaning to skateboarding
Best build ever!!! Unbelievable!! Dareks first kickflip board hahaha but honestly this was a blast. You guys are on fire lately
A pogo board would be so great to see. Built with springs under trucks I've always thought it would be interesting to see

You should do a 40 riser pad full park game of skate. 20 on each side. That seems like a more reasonable, yet still difficult, crazy board to play on.
Most insane kickflip I’ve ever seen!! Ricky is _THE MAN_
I thought for sure that kickflip wasn’t happening… Sooo impressive! Killed it!
100/100 riser pads, that kickflip was the cherry on top. You guys are insane!
1 out of 100 riser pads.. Plus an additional 99 more riser pads... That was just insane!!! That kickflip.. Ricky is like an engineer in skateboarding.
I've made some wacky boards before. I made one with a swing arm suspension in the back and flex in the front and I've made a couple with three wheels and a couple with two wheels and all kinds of things. What I found is counterintuitively lifting the trucks up off the deck a couple inches like 3 in not 20 reduces speed wobbles quite a bit.
Genuinely impressed by that kickflip! Solid 95 riser pads.
Truly amazing to see that kickflip!
98/100 riser pads. Great build Gabe 🤘

The trick to cutting a threaded rod is once the cut is made you have to take the side of the blade and kind of buff the edges of the cut. It will Make it so you can catch the threads easier with the nut
Rikki can literally kickflip ANYTHING
This video proves that Ricky can skate anything!
That 50-50 is actually unbelievable HOLYYYY
That was amazing Gabe
That was awesome! Build it again but better!
Wider trucks might work even better. Since you're higher up, the extra width would provide stability.

tru, but penny board trucks on it would also be interesting
this is crazy skating idea on riser pads Braille
5:34 a real work of art, amazing build as always
A little tipp for cutting these metal rods, use a small file and deburr the end that you cut inwards. Towards the center of the rod. That way it will allow the nut to go over it easily.
Yes love the skateboard
Riscuit for the biscuit lol That's legitly sturdy ❤ mind blown 🤯💥❤ love your videos
When cutting something with threads there’s a trick if you put a nut on first and cut past where the nut is and after you cut when you back the nut off it will align the threads so the nut goes on easier at the end
- it's a real mental trick with that one I was 50/50 it would fold as soon as you stood on it !! ... those risers saved the day with the cross bracing on each one it does have a great effect
I have to wonder if you could maybe reinforce it by putting superglue between every layer as well?
the way you looked on that board at first is how I felt my board was like when I put my Indy Hi's on my Qwik Truks with 54mm dragons, felt like death. overall rating 89/100 riser pads bud, it was built pretty solid for what it was
That was honestly magical
What you should have done for cutting the long bolts, is to already have the nut on there and maybe those upside down since they have the plastic and you don’t want to damage those but if you thread it off it will make the threads work right so you don’t have to try to fit it on which most of the time won’t work without putting a bevel around the outsides but you got lucky
Ricky’s shins very relatable 😂
This reminds me of the time I took the knuckles from 3 sets of Gullwing sidewinders and put them on one set. The longer the screw the more the bend. They have mountain risers.
You can’t hurt me with that…I got safety glasses on😂 0:22

I wear a size 16 shoe so I had to use like 2&1/2 - 3 inches of riser to keep my toes/heels from touching the ground whilst carving hills
✨96.5/100!! ✨ Gabe you have fully turned into a mad scientist. And Rick, that flip was smooth like butta
Glo’s Carlos Santana shirt is buzzin!
Gotta bring this thing to the skate park
I remember doing something like this waaaaay back with thick risers - rolling in to a bowl. Keep it and take it to Woodward....

That kickflip was fire 🔥. I have a video idea, the centipede skateboard, have as many trucks as you can in a line on the skateboard. Or upside down skateboard where the griptape is on the same side as the trucks. Have a great day
that kickflip defied physics dawg whaaaat
Screw the nut onto the thread before you cut so after you cut you can run the bolt over the thread and make it smooth again.
That build was incredible, Gabe. 100/100 for me. But it begs the question how many riser pads can you stack before it's unskateable? Is a "stiltsboard" possible? For science!
You need to cut the all thread with the nut on there so you can thread it off to take off the burr from the cut Gabe.
In case nobody said this yet, if you put the nut in the screw before cutting, when you unscrew it, it recuts/realigns the threads. Just a tip for future projects
Tradesman here….. if you put the nuts on the rod before cutting it then the threads can be fixed by just unscrewing the nuts off with a wrench
I didn’t expect a landed kick flip nice one 😮
u guys at braille really know how to get a rise out of us

Man Ricky is insane!
I can't believe that worked so well and ricky ice kickflipped on it haha.
Gabe, next time thread the nut on next to where you are going to cut it. That way when you take the nut back off it will clean the threads up versus trying to fight it back on 👍🏼
Gabe is a genius

Agreed
you should totally try something with cork riser pads
It was often common to have three riser pads in the late 1980s as I recall, 3x1/8" or there abouts.
I wish the whole gang was here for that, really fun idea. Possible sequel, yes yes?
why does the board sound like a wallmart board after the upgrade? great vid
My advice when cutting rods- put the nut first and after cut unscrew the nut through the cutting edge.
I just wanna say skate videos by Brazil not like this but like game of skate is what got me into skateboarding
Can't belive that Ricky shuved, 5050 and kickfliped that thing lol 😅😅 Well donne!
You get chatter with a counter counter sink if you press hard and go with a slower RPM.
Wow I would say it was a successful build. It was skateable 50-50 and the kick flip🔥🔥

Haven’t finished the video yet, but I’m hoping to see a hippie jump intersecting THROUGH this board as it’s rolling past. Would be epic. Rick’s name is written all over that trick.
Y'all are the future of skateboarding 💪🏻🛹
I got that same street rail box
Need to put the All-Terrain wheels on the back with the tiny wheels in front, with risers to balance it level
Have you guys done trucks with super long axles yet??!?
What if super stiff springs were on each bolt? Would that take impact from the braille drop?
Totally sick guys 100 all the way
If you added a brace down low to connect the trucks… even another board
Safety glasses but cutting metal in crocs 😂😂😂 come one man. All jokes love the videos
360 Ricky!
You always put a nut on first before you cut allthread and use the nut to chase the threads backwards.
What if you have a normal board without pads, and add the pads on top of the board with another board on top? Then maybe you'd be able to raise it off the ground more easily, because the bottom board kicks the ground.
First reaction to thumb nail, holy f@#$!!! Why!!! Lmao so funny xD can't wait to watch (;
We need a supercut of Ricky doing weird world firsts. It's time.
Should've left the nut on the bolt before cutting. Then unscrew the nut afterwards. Makes it easier to 're-thread' the bolt
Ricky Ricky Ricky watch the knee homie but absolutely epic
100/109 riser pads! It seems in-tact, so maybe a follow up episode?
I watched the beginning of this video and i thought they will try an kickflip lol I never thought you will do this for real
Definitely did rise to the occasion!
do a double DECKer , recipe- trucks deck 50 riser pads then another deck, like a bunk bed, i feel like it would have better the structural integrity
Loved this idea haha 98/ 100 riser pads, now 100 riser pads Ripstick please🤯🤯
Bro there’s no way I’d ever expecting this thing to get kickfliped
