Great respect to all the chefs creating wonderful masterpieces! What an art.
Still remember the days mike wouldn't eat any sushi and look at him now, food looks so delicious

@@Arthrexx I enjoy a lot of different kinds of food, so I like to encourage people to try things. However, I know a lot of people who hate trying food that’s out of their comfort zone, so I usually suggest small steps that are likely to be positive. e.g., for sushi, even some of the cooked items are adventurous to a lot of people so I suggest starting with things like eel and smoked salmon. Separating the idea of eating something raw from the act of actually eating something raw can help too. Spicy tuna is popular among people who still don’t like the idea of eating raw fish, even though they are. In Mike’s case, I think that he was fortunate to have a very positive first experience, even though he tried a lot of things at once.
It's like, considering what you get with the experience, the price isn't all that insane. You'll pay more for far less in the states, and the sheer craftsmanship of the chef...a pleasure to watch.
This meal looks absolutely epic. Thanks for sharing this with us
That Wagyu sushi looked so extravagant
From a guy who wound't really eat raw fish to a Japanese Omakase experience. You've turned a corner my friend! Great to see you finding a new category to explore and enjoy.

This looks like a once in a life time experience! ❤
Everything looked great, what a restaurant. Thanks for another great video!
Never been more envious, but thank you for sharing! Everything looks amazing, and I'm sure it smelled as amazing as it tasted.
Asian cuisine and Asian Chef's are the best in the world. These Chef's are very humble and very creative, they are definitely not on a power trip like the Western and European Chef's are. Bravo to this Master Chef who's preparing Mikey's meal.

I couldn't agree with you more. Western chefs are totally full of themselves, treat people terribly, and act like they know everything. You do SCULLERY WORK FOR A LIVING, GET OVER YOURSELF. The Food Network isn't calling any time soon, you're mad about it, and you want the world to know it, oooooo, big deal. I can't stand them.
Wooo! Everything looked so delicious!
I can almost taste it!!! that chef is genious!!! I'll take all the Wagyu please and thank you! Miso soup is my heart food - it makes me feel so comfy
I know it sounds silly, but I'm so glad he showed respect and wore a proper shirt instead of a T-shirt. I always feel a little embarrassed when he goes to fine dining in a T-shirt. It's a matter of respect for the establishment and sloppy dress just perpetuates the "Sloppy American" stereotype. Get a logo polo shirt at least. This was nice.
Mikey gets paid to travel around the world & eat all the best foods. What a job.

wow, what a talented chef. using that red hot wood charcoal to sear the soft fish without tearing it is really impressive.
I envy Mikey as I would probably never manage to get a reservation at this place. A tell tell sign that this is indeed a high end restaurant is how they prepare the rice. No sugar added and using black vinegar. At most luxurious sushi joints, red vinegar is all the hype, but this place doesn’t even conform to that. Shows the confidence of their dishes to be the best.

Wow... that last bite with the wagyu is probably the most expensive and delicious looking one out of them all. I really want to try that!

The sushi looked extra delicious loved this video Smokey ❤
Watching him is brilliant his like a magician making that sushi! Amazing skill, like a show and dinner x
I absolutely love watching this talented sushi chef create such beautiful pieces. Visually they are gorgeous but, even though I’ve tried a number of times, I can’t stand the consistency of raw fish. Perhaps if they could take all of these expertly sliced fish pieces and put them on the grill I’d be good to go, lol!

Japanese chefs are so smart. Use the least amount of ingredients but charge the most. Well done!!!

Over/Under as to how many times Bearface says "Uuuuuhmazing or Ooomami" on his next video
Is it really a michelin star? I can find another Sushi Shin in Nishiazabu with a star in the guide but the Sushi Shin Asagaya doesn't seem to have one. Just curious about which one you went to.

I would have asked chef if I could hold his knife for a minute. Theres no way in a million years i could afford Japanese steel knives like that. I so enjoyed just watching the techniques used alone.
Mikey pulling up with a shirt on means its serious business time
I would absolutely love this. I actually prefer smaller more manageable bites for my sushi so I can enjoy it instead of stuffing my mouth trying to force it all down. This truly seems like it would be heavenly
Why do I do this to myself and watch these video as I lay in bed…..now I’m 🤤
I’ve had a raw oyster when I was like 6 because my parents friends played a little prank on me because I’d eat anything. It was like eating snot and not a fan but everything else looks so amazing! I can only imagine the experience it was to watch the chef at work in person

Cant believe hes actually clapping at 15:55!! Lol!
Oh My, that looks so delicious. It's a shame it's so far away.
i’ve always wanted to know… and it’s none of my business… but i used to watch your videos from the beginning, especially the ramen tour you did in NY. i can tell when there’s so many people, you kinda just walk in the restaurant. in one’s like these, that are more intimate, do you call in and let them know who you are due to the intimacy, or do these restaurants usually just do intimate fine and dine? i know some restaurants actually do this so i was genuinely curious. what’s your take?
I remember that times when he didn’t eat raw fish… some other utuber helped him get over the fear🤣🤣 and apparently he hasn’t looked back since!!! I love love sushi!!
