Good informative demonstration, I bought one of these a while ago for a job that I never ended up doing so it's been sitting around unused. Think I'm gonna pull it out this weekend and mess around with it a bit.

Is this the same as the Woodward Fab notcher? Looks the same those have good reviews too. It’s also about $45 cheaper 😅.

I have a h.f. notcher I bought probably 15+ yrs ago other than shimming it about 1/16" and adding a grease fitting for the bronze bushing to help reduce wear since I use it pretty often it's works great, its sturdy , unless they made it cheaper since then, I'd rather pay half the price and add a few shims but that's just my 2cents

Some say to use your drill press if uou have one.

@@cisnerofam08 I was just getting ready to ask you that...😉 What brand of "Ammazon notcher" is that? You should put a few drops of 10-30 or straight 30 motor oil on the shaft to prevent premature wear...🤔

What brand was it?

This one isn't available on amazon anymore.

The one you got is no longer available. I just got this one for $70 and will be using it this weekend. It seems to be almost Identical.

2 years and a pandemic later and it’s $130 now 😭😵😅

Anytime you have a brass sleeve instead of bearings to guide the shaft you aren't getting a quality product.

Its holding up great, I have even used it to notch 2"x2" with 1/4" wall square tubing.

To me it looks identical to the harbor freight
