From what i heard management didn't like Vader getting too stiff with some, and wanted to punish him. So they sent Shamrock in there with the specific instruction to be stiff with Vader, knowing Vader couldn't boss him around in turn. Also, i didn't think that Vader's clothesline was nothing out of the ordinary stiff for him, and Shamrock easily rolled with it. Shamrock however, clearly zoned in on Vader's nose with his elbow.

And you're trying to tell people they want a guy low on the totem pole (which Regal was) to show off all of Goldberg's weaknesses for the world to see? They didn't have any much bigger star get a "back and forth" from him. Why Regal? Why expose the guy you want to be the monster babyface? Regal is clearly lying. He didn't want to be squashed like everyone else was being squashed. Think of that what you will. But like i said, i didn't mind it, because it was a better match than if Regal HAD been squashed. From what I understand, Angle was the one who challenged one of them to a legit wrestling match and Vince had no idea Angle would do that, which implied Angle started the shoot by even setting the open challenge. If so, he obviously did it to make himself look good in front of the rookies and Puder recognized that and decided to not be pushed around by a veteran. It was an ego thing. Angle has literally gone on record to say that he wasn’t a great dude during this time period cuz of his demons and drug abuse. This was probably a direct cause from all of it. Not taking any shots at Kurt, he’s one of the best. But the Puder/Angle situation is on both of them.

This is true, but many ignoramuses here cannot handle that Angle was actually allowing his ego to rule him in that moment, and got himself in a jam because some punk kid actually wouldn't be embarrassed by him like that. All of this has come out long ago, but some of the guys contradicting it don't know any better and probably weren't even watching back then. To make matter worse, WWE then "punished" Puder by having him take brutal chops, without resisting, from Eddie Guerrero and i think Benoit, as if having a rookie guy take shots while telling him not to fight back makes him look bad, when everybody knows wrestling is a work. So it's not even on Puder. It's fully on Angle. I don't worship a guy just because he's an awesome wrestler or had an Olympic match with a broken neck. Wrong is wrong.

@@MisterKisk you can use an armbar into a throw or takedown, but not maintain for submission. I used a few tricks like that in high school wrestling.

I met William Regal a bunch of times he's a super nice guy he was always smiling always well behaved. I've heard a lot of stories that Goldberg was not very cool when he first started. Regal is a real badass. He's a real wrestler and fighter he's not just a pretty face and a storyline.

Not sure if it’s on here but teddy hart vs zandig was the most brutal one I’ve seen. Teddy pissed zandig off saying he’d get more over than him without using weapons then at one point zandig lays down a board of nails and drops teddy on it on the back of his head, totally split him open and he needed a ton of staples that’s what his head scars from, honestly would likely get demonetized if you added that though
