There was the last issue of the Barracuda Arc in Punisher Max where the Punisher blows up a whole yacht full of people and left the survivors to be eaten by sharks. Of course, since said people happened to be the CEO and the shareholders of a crooked and corrupt corporation, I doubt anybody would consider that remotely a bad thing.

I believe they did meet in a crossover comic. Apparently the Joker about shat himself because he realized Frank Castle was going to kill him without a second thought and he'd just be another statistic in a body count done by someone who doesn't think twice. The Joker wants to die at the hands of someone that represents an ideal like Superman or Batman who was driven to the edge and went over. Frank Castle is already over the edge and simply wants justice. Joker dying to him would mean nothing and he would be forgotten. For that reason he was afraid and I believe was calling out to Batman for help. Sorry for the year late response. But this will answer that question for anyone else who comes across the comment like I did.

He lives up to his name. He's called "The Punisher" for a reason 💪🔫💣🔪

Taking revenge to a whole new brutal bloody level way before John Wick was a thing!

As much as I love and prefer the Netflix version of Frank, I wonder if they’d ever make a live action version where he would truly be that unhinged. In the movies and series they show him doing some brutal shit, but it usually is mostly justified. Or do you think this wouldn’t work out in a live action medium where you’d need the audiences to root for him? Because while it’s vague in the live action interpretations, it’s quite clear that in the comics he starts out because of his family’s murder, but keeps at it way later because he actively enjoys it. He likes killing people, and targets bad people because he can justify his actions, and they can defend themselves, meaning he gets to find creative ways to kill them.

Wow, there were so many better kills. In Punisher MAX alone, he throws a woman into a bulletproof window over and over for minutes and minutes until the frame bends and she falls out with it from the top floor of a skyscraper. A guy pisses on Frank's family's corpses and gets left in the forest with a gutshot specifically because Frank wants him to know how he isn't special. To interrogate a war vet, Frank numbs the guy, precisely cuts open the guy's belly, and strings his intestines up around a tree while he's still alive.

Cap: "Hey! Language!" Punisher "Time to clean out that potty mouth" *Murders a dude with a toilet brush*

The Slavers arc where he hangs the guy’s intestines from a tree. Even Frank looks back and thinks he went too far.

NB: Punisher killed Cap in another comic by planting a gun ahead of time. Cap was too much of a goodie-goodie to see it coming. Punisher could kill Cap if he wanted to, but he doesn't, so he won't.

My favourite punisher moment is when he Sliced up Barracuda with an Axe

Frank when he got the War Machine suit he actually launched an all-out air strike on a random village without using the suit's targeting systems to scan for innocent civilians yeah he destroyed a village and pretty much murdered 1,000+ innocent people including little kids and the worst part was he try to justify it stating that because there was a criminal warlord in the village there wasn't time to use the targeting systems to do an accurate scan to see who was innocent and who wasn't and then had the audacity to say heroes and heroines who rightfully called him out on the hypocrisy of his argument including Spider-Man were spineless, pathetic, pacifistic, cowards who don't have the stomach, and balls to do what's necessary to take out criminals.

That’s not an example of Punisher being a terrible person, that’s an example of terrible writing for the sake of being edgy. The TRUE Punisher would NEVER let an innocent be caught in the crossfire, after all that’s how his family died. Whoever wrote that didn’t understand the character of The Punisher AT ALL.

The real Frank would've actually used the War Machine suit's targeting system to figure where the innocent civilians in said village were located then use the right weapon within the suit's arsenal to kill said villainous warlord without getting the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

Bats is a better fighter though Frank is no slouch. Frank has the will-power to overcome the odds but Bruce is not short on will himself. Batman goes up against armed goons all the time, (he’s amazing at disarming people, which is most of Frank’s arsenal) as well as elite super assassins and super humans, then again Frank does too and he’s no goon. Punisher might throw a spanner in the works of any plan Batman comes up with, though Batman is good at thinking on his feet, usually catching him by surprise is the way to go. I reckon Frank could take the Batman if he had the element of surprise, one well-placed sniper round will do the Dark Knight in. If Castle got the jump on Batman during the battle with some hidden explosives then he might be able to gain the upper hand. Punisher could also use criminals as hostages to distract Batman as he will go out of his way to save them, where as Frank doesn’t care if they die. Though Bruce has overcome similar odds before. Honestly if it’s a fair fight, both allowed prep-time in a mutually advantageous location I reckon it could go either way, and it would be a hell of a fight. However I think Batman is a better fighter, better strategist and a lot smarter than Punisher. So more times than not I’d have to agree and give the edge to The Batman.

TheSkyIsTeal Well If its life or death Batman has proven he’s willing to kill in extreme situations. He’d probably be more hesitant to, until he realises He HAS to kill the Punisher, which might give Punisher the edge I guess? But I still maintain that Batman deals with deadly assassins and psychos regularly, so I don’t think Frank wanting to murder him is much of a problem. I think if Punisher is going to win, it’ll have to be out of sheer grit, or with a surprise attack. As formidable as Punisher is, I do think he’s the underdog here. Not saying he couldn’t do it, but I think Batman would win more times than not.

Cant remember the exact issue. I think it was War Journal. He was going after a steroid ring operating in a nearby gym. In a fight with some of the members he tied a womans hair to the bottom rung of a pool ladder while she was unconscious. Pretty grisly .
