​@@real_redacted That's not an elevator then...what goes up must come down...and most of these don't even go back down so now you have the problem of having the up-elevator stuck up when you're down, so you can't complete the loop, and the down elevator can't go up (because then we wouldn't have a problem).

I've played Minecraft since alpha and watched you for years, but this video today is the first time I've actually sat down and had a crack at Redstone, i honestly can't believe what I've missed out on! Once you get the basics it's so rewarding making your own circuits! I've spent today learning how these elevators work and linking them together, and making hidden doors that open briefly when you get to the top of the 'design 6', so cool! Thanks Mumbo!

My son made an office building, and the glass elevator is just a 4x4 shaft filled with scaffolding. It works great, and has a smooth ride, which allows you to look over the town as you go up and down.

Facts: My first flying machine was in Bedrock edition and it was from a video called "How to make a car in Minecraft!". Well it was posted by Mumbo in Java edition. :p

Thank you, your water elevator work perfectly for my Xbox one Minecraft. though to make it cheaper all I did was make an up and down elevator and said screw the one elevator aspect. No redstone required now. Just soulsand, magma cubes, blocks of choice, and water!!! It makes it easier also to just have multiple soul sands and magnum cubes and now I can make a multi-level layer elevator. Thank you so much again.

@@luckyblockyoshi Nha, It's just a joke you don't have to think so much about. The Point is, usually when Mumbo builds anything on Hermitcraft he usually says, "And guess what, this design was made by, u guessed it, Illmango" So it's kinda printed in my mind :P

Vines are like ladders but can grow and expand but they also now not need a block behind them. And vines are 1x2

Aiken I can say I’m not the best at redstone things but if you want to try to make one on bedrock you can it’s on every platform ever just be prepared for pretty much everything to break

i've only ever played minecraft on pc when there's mods so idk if it's in vanilla but when i've played you can go up ladders without any input by just looking up.

redstone: exists mumbo: *ill take your entire stock*

I watch mumbo Jumbo to learn about red stone because a lever that opens multiple doors is super impressive to me. My most impressive red stone invention is just a lever that turns off the lights to the entire house

@Ariel Rozen yes you’re correct, 8 doesn’t have pistons, but as Mumbo himself said, it doesn’t really count as an elevator, just a way to go up. I didn’t mention 2 because it has pistons, otherwise it wouldn’t be swappable

Scaffolding is a better ladder. It’s 1x1, can be taken down easily, and built very easily.

also a cool old scool elevator is the keykon elevator, it is a cabin elevator that was made before slime blocks were a thing

number ten is just that one that hits different.
