Making the Best Vault in Minecraft

Ойындар

I love Minecraft vaults! I have built a lot of Minecraft vaults, but this is the best Minecraft vault I have ever built. It involves Minecraft self building bridges, Minecraft Piston vault doors, Minecraft combination locks, Minecraft security systems and more! This is the most secure Minecraft vault I have built, and is definitely a very cool looking build. I refer to it as the Minecraft safe house of Minecraft vaults... So a Minecraft safe vault.

Late to this thread, but you could add barrier blocks outside the vault to prevent people destroying the vault walls, regardless of what they are made of. Alternately, a layer of ugly bedrock could be used to protect the internal structure from damage.

In an Adventure map, the 'just break the glass lololol' idea is easily null anyway. I really want to design an Ultimate Vault that utilizes command blocks as well, but that runs into the issue of BUT THAT'S BORING at its logical conclusion (such as instantly killing any player except the intended vault owner who enters loading radius). The line between sporting and not is a fine one. Buuut, that said, there are all sorts of unique traps and security measures one can devise without resorting to 'biometrics' like that. The following assumes Java Edition: 1: Hiding the vault itself in an unreachable space (a custom dimension with no mundane entry) and then triggering a /clone command to copy and paste it into accessible space, then repeating this /clone in reverse to "update" the original vault. Can't be physically broken into if it exists outside space and time! Which then, of course, shifts the entire security apparatus into protecting the triggering mechanism rather than the vault. But, this IS a more flexible task, as one's space to work with becomes wholly arbitrary and openly extendable. Plus, you can't really beat "it is not even accessible with spectator mode" for sheer psychological impact! 2: Alternatively, /teleport (/tp) commands can send the player into and out of this pocket dimension instead of cloning the vault itself around, but frankly I find this (much simpler) method much less cool. Hiding the vault on top of the Nether's ceiling is another substitute, for versions unable to use custom dimensions, but bedrock can be broken by the determined. 3: As we've prohibited "biometrics" (the direct identification of the player), what can command blocks provide for ID? They can check a player's scoreboard, advancements, or statistics, for starters. For an extreme example, the criteria for passage could be completion of the How Did We Get Here? advancement, and thus someone can only access the vault if they've had every single effect applied at once. Good luck! As a more sinister alternative, checking a particular statistic for a specific value or maximum. For example, it could check the minecraft:broken stat for netherite shovels. Only if you've broken 1 and exactly 1 netherite shovel, would you pass this check. If you ever break MORE, you are forever barred entry. The choices, and possible "combination lock" of criteria, are endless. I suggest hooking each criteria up to its own /fill command layer (providing the "ICBM Launch Silo" effect, albeit sideways) and confirmation lamp. So first goes down one bedrock wall, then another, then another, etc., though assuming this comes after the mechanisms for ensuring a player has no items (see step 4), more decorative wall options or even piston doors are feasible. 4: It's been mentioned that Mumbo's inventory-purge can be circumvented by dropping stuff on the ground. A /kill command targeting all non-player entities (dropped items in this case, simultaneous with a /clear (deletes entire inventory) command will prevent this. Particularly clever intruders may try to bring a donkey, llama, mule, minecart with chest/hopper, and so on, so calling a full-blown "/kill (all of these possibilities)" function may be more space-efficient than chaining a ton of command blocks. Similarly, detecting for chests, shulker boxes, barrels, or other container-blocks and erasing them with /fill will be necessary. I suggest a very small, possibly even 1x2x1, airlock chamber for this step, to simplify it. 5: Criteria for entry and vault security addressed, what about actual player detection and "scan"? For that matter, isolation, as even with all of the above, security can still be pierced by an infiltrator using an Invisibility potion to slip in alongside a valid user. Once again, it must be emphasized that direct player identification is forbidden. This includes a direct test for the number of players present. Thankfully, this is as easy as using the @p identifier, which selects a player based on how close they are to the command block (or any other point, if using /execute). This, by nature, will only select one player for short-range /teleport-ation from one security chamber to another. By using the Conditional setting of a chained command block to execute an "airlock" system, such as boxing both the start and end rooms of this sequence in bedrock, then only one player will be capable of entry at a time. Should the proper owner of the vault NOT be the one teleported, they will be immediately made aware that somebody else has been, and can then activate any number of possible lockdowns (and deadly traps) that prevent further progress. Obviously, a would-be intruder only mildly inconveniences the vault's owner if they lock themselves out with this feature. Once this lockdown is initiated, everyone within the system is purged, and subsurface hoppers collect the resulting drops. This, obviously, doesn't matter much to the vault owner, whose belonging remain accessible (and now hidden somewhere only they know), while intruders find themselves stripped of all belongings. One may need to construct a secondary vault for this collection system, but we're here to start with because we LIKE making vaults! 6: Dummy Nether Portals. You want these all over the place outside of the vault, but within the same chunks it occupies. Multiple, if need be. This way, one can't simply build a Nether Portal at the correct coordinates for the game to create one INSIDE your vault. Which would really suck. Then it's just an issue of 7: Hydration. Your vault will need to have a layer of water all over the floor, to prevent being broken into by somebody using Chorus Fruit to teleport past all of your security! As this only needs to be one block high (or less!), it should not be too much trouble otherwise, though completely flooding the vault is a valid choice if one wishes to slow down all mining and potentially enforce time limits via the threat of drowning. If so, remember to /effect clear (removing any buffs) those passing through, perhaps even on a repeating command block. This is easily combined with a concealed Elder Guardian to inflict mining fatigue, multiplied by the underwater penalty. Alternatively, a chained command block could automatically inflict mining fatigue at levels even stronger than an Elder Guardian, according to personal taste, but having a pet Elder Guardian is extremely Bond Villain and thus encouraged. Don't forget the cutesy name tag! Mining fatigue is only necessary if the game mode isn't Adventure. 8: As an alternative to the use of water for Chorus Fruit-proofing, a solid external layer at least 9 blocks thick. Chorus Fruit can only teleport their users within 8 blocks on all three axes, so this will also prevent their usage in trivializing almost all other security. It may be tempting to create deliberate gaps for them to warp into and get suddenly mauled by traps, but a totem of undying and a second chorus fruit use will have a high chance of depositing them right inside your security chambers. So don't. Solid cladding only. What a text dump... Who's even going to read this thing?

Glad I watched this. I liked the bridge and set out to create something similar myself. I'm still learning the game though and instead made a suicide machine. Anyhow, the suicide machine showed me a glitch that put me inside blocks, so then I made a machine to put me in to blocks to hide whenever I want. I'm sure after so long others have done this but I was happy to figure out how myself. Now back to trying to make a bridge.
