How to easily fix that water elevator: Plant kelp as high as you want on normal sand Break the kelp. Replace sand with soul sand. Done. Every water block that has kelp in it turns to a source block. Soul sand/magma cubes effect all source blocks above it.

YESSSS!!! It was a childhood dream of mine to make an underwater base. I didn’t know what sponges did back then.

When he was working on the water elevator he made it absolutely gorgeous but really complicated haha!! he just needed his elevator to be source blocks but other than that its a really good base, higher than my standards.

For the soul sand exit you need water to be not flowing so you can use kelp in the water blocks to make the solid. Just a tip
