I volunteer at my local thrift store. They have more inventory than they can go through. They let the workers purchase by the bag. $5 for a 13 gallon trash bag. They know that I resell the items and its a win win situation. They get a free days worth of work out of me and I get inventory for about 16 cents per item. This has been great in helping me grow my reselling business by keeping my cost of goods very low. Thanks for the video. new subscriber.

Hi ya Samson! Great new channel :) I love how you get straight to the point and the information is excellent! I'm still new to Ebay and work at an Estate Sale Company so I have no trouble getting inventory LOL We always come across some cool stuff and I can get a lot of it really cheap. Our company charges 15% which is very reasonable for our area (I'm in Virginia, USA). My favorites of course are getting 5 items for $5 and reselling just one of those for $300 which I recently did. CHA CHING! LOL Online auctions can definitely be the way to go!

Thankyou! I am glad you find the video informative. Being involved in an estate sale company sounds like a great way to access inventory, I would be sure to leverage that! I have done a few online auctions however they are not as solid over here in Australia, I am jealous of all the great overstock and storage auctions that the US has. Thanks for watching👍

@@SamsonTV Maybe you need to take a 'business trip' to the US and do some buying here twice a year! For the right items, it would totally be worth it! ;) I have an entire room full at this point and just brought home 4 bags of high end clothing & ties, so I gotta get my butt in gear and get to listing! LOL I'll keep watching your videos, :) Happy 4th Quarter! Cha Ching!
Great tips mate. Building connections is a great way of doing it. I’ve done storage units. Yes here in Aus the usually have been raided by the owners. But I turned my last one into about 4K profit. It was lots of work though.

It was fun, i enjoyed the mystery. But as I said it was hard work. Keep up the great vids 👍
Out here in California we have Spring cleanup. Many people set good working items on the curb they no longer want or need. Granted, there is a lot of junk, but driving through town one can find some good items. I found an Epson projector that someone threw out. There was nothing wrong with it. It was covered in a layer of dust, so I dusted off, gave it a good cleaning, plugged it in and it worked perfectly. People throw out good stuff on Spring cleanup, not just junk.

Hey! Loved the video thanks! My question would be, how do you keep track of your purchases and sales for taxes? I do a lot of reselling myself, but this aspect has been a nightmare for me and I could use some tips. I typically buy large collections in bulk and lots of stuff I don't even list or I end up donating for instance.

I have a question for organizing the said sell items I have plenty of things. But finding them is the problem thanks for your time
Storage auctions are great, never lost any money on it. Definetely a lot of work. There will be lots of items that get thrown away or donated, but if you put your thinking cap on you can always make thousands of dollars just on one decent unit. You just have to know what to look for, there is always pictures and some places will let you look in person. Don't ever worry about the lots being picked through ( because it does happen ) but you will still make your money back 95% of the time with lots of profit . It's just the cost of doing business.

@@SamsonTV My biggest advice is look for ones that are stored away nice. Lots of boxes, things wrapped up. Usually people that spend the money on nice boxes and crates to put their things away want it to stay nice. Also try to date the unit by looking at the visible items like furniture or other clues to give you an era of what the stuff might be from - 70s-80-90s etc. Those are my top 2 tips. It can definitely be a lot of work sorting through everything, but the dump and the thrift store is your best friend to get rid of unwanted items.
Thanks I have learnt a few new ways from your list fantastic thank you. I have started this year love that t Max is not to far from me I check it out a new idea. Thanks looking for the titles video u made should be good thanks as I am having big ups and downs with eBay selling at the moment

Pauls Warehouse's stores in Melbourne have all closed just before chrissy Dec 2021, not sure why tho.
Tip #11 Reach out to small nonprofit organizations. The small ones can at times have regular donations. If they understand that you may be interested in their unusual or not normal for them material and that can simply be an under the table (so to speak) trade. Then use the "Donation" from you to assist in their operations, then you may be able to gain their confidence and then when they are offered something fitting to your needs, they will then have need to accept rather than not. Find ones that could be feeling the current economic effects. Just as a thought, where I am at there is an oversupply of donations to clothing banks that operate as nonprofit. Not to mention nonprofit thrift stores. These kinds of situations draw people to you as long as they are aware of your presence. Like you said building relationships. Be good and love life, Archer
Another tip for those that print a lot of shipping labels would to purchase an Epson Ecotank printer. Those printers are bottomless pits when it comes to ink.
