Saw Twisted Sister at the Wrexham concert with Motorhead in 1982. They were a complete shock to us leather clad Motorbike crowd who had no idea what to expect. They entertained though and got a good reception, then hell broke lose when Motorhead came out and the police enforced a turn down of the sound system volume as it was directed towards the local hospital about 1/2 a mile away. The football pitch turf got torn up and hurled at security.

My first encounter with Dee Snider was in 1989 when his book "Dee Snider's Teenage Survival Guide" started being published in the Soviet Union (I was born and raised in Ukraine, which was a part of the USSR those days.) This book was masterfully translated into Russian and published in a teenager's magazine. It became extremely popular among teenagers those days, and one of the very first vinyl records I bought for my own money was Twisted Sister album "Come Out And Play". Contrary to common belief I think this is a very strong album from start to finish and I would not change anything in it - unlike "Stay Hungry", which has some skippers. "Leader of the pack" was not penned by the band but it fitted the album to a tee.

Great takes! Some of mine - Out On The Streets could have been a very successful single for them... very Dokken esque IMO - I completely agree that they should have stopped the costume gimmick after Stay Hungry... there was no way they could top that album by staying the same... a new look may have helped them they way it helped KISS. - Burn In Hell is the best song on Stay Hungry - Still Hungry was completely unnecessary

Out On the Streets was the best suited song to be a single on that album imo... very catchy pre Chorus Yeah I think at latest they should have dropped the make up after Stay Hungry I wouldn't argue that! I'm torn between Stay Hungry, Burn In Hell, and the ultra underrated Don't Let Me Down Still Hungry could have been cool but I always felt like they were just going through the motions, the energy and anger that made Stay Hungry So great just wasn't there. I became a fan in 2004 so when they announced Still Hungry I was pretty stoked, but disappointed when it came out. My go to songs were always the ones they didn't re-record, Never Say Never, Blasting Fast and Loud, and Heroes Are Hard To Find.

My hot take: Love Is For Suckers & Come Out & Play are their best albums. Love 'em both. The rest of the catalogue is also none too shabby. Consistent band. Hot take 2: The Christmas album is an essential part of the aforesaid catalogue and no Twisted Sister collection is complete without it.

Love Is For Suckers I agree with, in fact I actually like it slightly better than YCSRNR :😱 I'll agree with the Christmas album to a point, I think every TS collection should have it but personally I only like about half of it
