The Diaz brothers are so beloved because of their authenticity. In the social media age we live in, public personas are highly curated and superficial, in an effort to create the perfect image. Diaz is as real as it gets, flaws and all, and that resonates with people who are tired of all of the fake and inauthentic people that reach the highest levels of fame nowadays.

I still think Nate didnt want to steal edwards title shot. He could finish him in that 5th, but decide to spare him knowing he was almost over with the ufc, and Leon was the next title contender. Thats why he was acting like the winner when Buffer announced the score cards. If he thought he blew his chance to win,i think he would had been disappointed and frustraded. I really think that was the most unselfish moment in ufc history

@2:41 I know it’s sort of before the mainstream of UFC, but didn’t Shamrock do stuff like this against Ortiz? He was smiling and showboating iirc. It’s been a long time so I could be wrong, not at all trying to be a naysayer or nothing. Nate’s a G and his passion def makes him entertaining to watch. Well done video my dude. Edit- you know what? I think I’m thinking of Shamrock / Beroni. And those were Strikeforce. I can admit I’m wrong, my bad!

@@xancypillosi9497 Shamrock / Baroni - 6/22/2007 Diaz / Pellegrino - 4/2/2008 UFC buys out Strikeforce - 2011 He said “this was a new experience for fight fans, as no one displayed this kind of charisma before” Which I heard as “UFC fans” thus my wording and correction. In the shamrock fight, he was constantly taunting, showboating, throwing the peace sign/victory V, and the like. Frank Shakrock def had this type of charisma at times, but never seemed as popular or well known, due to his promotional affiliations and the slightly less mainstream following to MMA at the times.
