It's good to see someone showing actually practical things like books and clothes rather than pointlessly flashy garbage that they clearly have no real connection to. That's why I love Jiri, he's so genuine and he cares so much about his lifestyle and the meaning behind the objects rather than the actual material. edit: Idk why people are so heated in the reply section, I called his objects practical because most of them have everyday uses. A katana can be used for training, his kimono is clothing to be worn whenever, his tea is obviously a drink, his book has provided him with the code that he abides by... He clearly has an attachment to his objects, they are important to him I think that's pretty clear to see. I don't mean to target any other ufc fighters by calling his possessions practical compared to theirs. I was simply saying that I like that he wasn't flexing random material, it just appears to be truly important to him.

I like that "katana is made for one thing" bit... its like saying you are training your body to become a weapon, and weapon's purpose is "killing" opposition. So if you understand what katanas are for, then you understand what learning fighting is for. Ofc in today's age we are not killing anyone and train recreationally , but that's the philosophy if you train to win gladiator matches.

Jiri is awesome person. His manager that gifted him the book deserves a lot of praise as otherwise Jiri might have taken another route in his life. Most likely by reading and ‘connecting’ to that book, Jiri changed his life in a good way. Great story & person and hope to see him for a very long career in the UFC. 🏆

I like that Jiri is going to wear something different for every walkout. It's cool for Champs in the UFC to take things to another level and heighten the moment. For Jiri, that's a good look for him and special that his sister made that kimono for his Singapore fight.
