Can’t beat a good old Cornish pasty!! Yum!! Henry is a Legend the world is missing out 😂🤣
While we do not have authentic Cornish pasties, Michigan (USA) does have pasties. They are a staple in Michigan's upper peninsula. They were brought here by Cornish miners who came to mine the copper mines in the U.P.
I own a Henry and its brilliant on pet fur!
"Little Chef" did not line "motorways up and down the county". They could however be found on many major "A" roads.
I had no idea mr blobby was still a thing, I remember seeing him a lot on tv when I was a kid but thought he's gone away ages ago.
Little Chef is sadly missed, apparently killed off by Euro Garages, who replaced them with branches of Burger King at their service stations and elsewhere where possible. I miss most the unique and incredible "Jubilee Pancake", launched in Silver Jubilee year 1977 and consisting basically of a pancake, filled with cherry pie filling and Ice cream. Awesome. I also love my Henry hoover. It "may not be the best", but for the price and it's power and reliability, it's excellent. The world is missing out on these two items and until the Jubilee Pancake is reintroduced somewhere else, so are we. Bring back the Jubilee Pancake!!

EG Didn't kill it off as such, they bought what was essentially a dying brand (along with the sites). There were only about 70 still open when they bought it in 2017, from 439 in 2000. Kout Food Group still own the trademarks to the Little Chef name. EG were only allowed to use the name for a year, some were rebranded as EG Diner in their final days. Speaking to some of the staff in those final days, EG did try to keep them (the staff) going in the new outlets (Greggs, Starbucks, BK etc.) but it didn't work for some. I heard that Starbucks refused to have outlets on sites where there would be other brands in the same building?

My favourite memory of Little Chef is those sherbet lollipop things! Remember? They came in orange and yellow! 🍭 👩🍳 👨🏽🍳 🧑🏿🍳
Aw, I miss Little Chef and they actually did genuinely decent food, sure, it was cheap and somehwere you went when you pulled into a service station sure, but the ood was, actually pretty good. I do wish there was something like that. Costa just doesn't cut it. Anyone know of any good places to get a full English when coming off the motorway or a good bite to eat?

They weren't exactly cheap, but the food was consistently good, in my experiences.

This particular Watch Mojo countdown makes me question how accurate they are. I live in New Zealand where we had Noel's house party on TV along with Mr Blobby in the 90's, Henry hoovers can be purchased here as well as cornish pasties at certain bakeries and supermarkets.

Cornish pasties are pretty much outlawed her in the UK unless they're from Cornwall. Obviously you can still get them but unless they're actually made in Cornwall they have to be called "potato and vegetable". Or so legend says, I haven't checked pasty politics lately. More importantly, you get Watch Mojo UK in New Zealand? This alters the Matrix in ways not previously thought possible. I have to take a moment 😐
@SuzyQ334

@@VanDiemensLander True but they're not "proper" Cornish pasties. I had one in a cafe in the Blue Mountains once and it was truly revolting, not just the filling but the pastry too. I reckon my then 5-year-old could have done a better job! 🤣

That's because BBC children's programs were on ABC and NZTV (Thomas the tank engine, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Danger Mouse being my favourites) and the Cornish Pasties are protected in the UK like champagne is in France. ....got to be made to stringent quality in the region of that name

You find Henry Hoover here in Dublin, Ireland as well ☺
Protected name status doesn't guarantee qualty. To prove a point, a chef setup a field kitchen straddling the border between Cornwall and Devon. He made a pastie to the Cornish pastie recipe on either side of the border. The one made on the Cornwall side was vastly inferior to the one made on the Devon side, and yet it was the only one allowed to be called a Cornish Pastie, despite the one made 5ft away (in Devon) being of a much better quality.
Greggs pizza slices take me back to school
Little chef sausage bounces back on the plate lol.
You'd struggle to find a Greggs in Cornwall. I'd never even heard of it until I tried to find a pasty shop in Southampton and someone suggested it. I've never been so disgusted by a so-called "pasty" in my life! 😆
5:28 I love it 😂 5:31 Clyde , Eric , Wiggle , Cuthbert and Collin 😂😂😂😂😂😂 God Britain!!!!!
It was more easy to break into a bank vault, than get into a party seven!
Kind of glad Gregg's is a small footnote in the south West. We still have proper bakeries and pasty shops. Then it doesn't exist in Cornwall. Remember having my first Gregg's and almost spitting it out. Give me a Pullins or Parsons anyday.
I remember when Greggs was cheap, it went upmarket and prices shot up

There are still keg beers in other brands, just look in your local big supermarket. Has anyone seen, the seagull nicking a packet of crisps from a Greggs video, on KZread? 😁 Tizer is easily found in small grocery stores, in large towns and any city, along with other AG Barr's soft drinks. Mr Blobby appeals to very small kids, because he acts like they sometimes do, but gets away with it. 😁

Comedy band The Horne Section (fronted by Alex, Greg Davis' sidekick on Taskmaster) made a character out of Henry Hoover
Let's not forget Little Chef's rival Happy Eater.
Mr Blobby was early 90s. He had the 1993 Xmas number 1.
In my town (Kingston upon Hull) we have Coopland's and Gregg's
I used to have a Henry the hoover and a hetty the hoover plushie as a child

I'm with Jack Whitehall. Mr Blobby is terrifying.
Henry the best vacuum cleaner Ive ever owned.
Party Seven, dishwater beer but every party had at least one and they often exploded when they were being opened
I had a Henry vacuum cleaner (Hoover) over 20 years ago in Australia
Cornish pasties are amazing..... I wish that they wouid be popular state side And mr blobby is big chaotic energy
Sorry but Cornish Pasties are available in South Australia. As Australia is not part of the EU the Cornish Pasty was allowed in Australia, In fact, the Cornish pasty most likely arrived in South Australia earlier than 1841. By this time, some 941 Cornish families had taken advantage of the offer of free passage to the new colony. However, after the 1841 discovery of silver and lead at Glen Osmond, near Adelaide, their numbers increased. The mining of tin in Cornwall was in decline and experienced miners were now in high demand in South Australia. The immigrants, of course, brought their food preferences with them, including the Cornish Pasties. I also believe the Cornish Pasties went to Mexico as well with the miners there also.
I see why Mr Blobby does not exist any where else. That is a scary creature!
Scraping the barrel with this one.
