Wow I didn't realized Korea doesn't use single host/guest talk show. It's so common in America I had no idea Yoongi's show was a standout there. I learn watching you, thank you!

The nice part about Suchwita is that it created a rare space in the interview marketplace. Many times, interview shows are trying too hard to be entertaining for the audience to connect with the guest and host. There's not always enough room to get deep or vulnerable or reflect on the past. Which isn't inherantly a bad thing. Entertainment has to have a lightness to it too. It's just nice that there's also this new show that is so grounded and sincere that Yoongi just kept attracting a bunch of introverts and people who avoided talk/variety shows for a long time because they didn't want to have to be "on" and put up a persona of being funny or interesting for tv. Yoongi assures them that coming as they are is more than enough and he's actually interested in who these people actually are and helping them share that with the world.

Thanks for your insight! If I might add something about SUGA hosting Suchwita is that the years he’s hosted the earlier Festa really prepared him for this! He’s good at listening to what his guests are saying and probably due to his personality he’s been able to come up with questions that probably have taken his guests by surprise. His weren’t your run of the mill questions! He made sure his guests were in a safe space where there wouldn’t be any judgment! I hope this won’t be the only season of Suchwita we’ll get! 🤞🏽

Really enjoyed this episode, thank you so much! Sometimes, for non-Korean speakers, that extra effort of reading the subtitles while also trying to take in as much of the visual as possible, means that we sometimes miss the larger picture. This episode did a marvellous job of highlighting Suga’s exceptional handling of the interviews (although he’d never done something like this before!).

In Jungkook episode 21,he said the memberi respect lately is yoongi. Cnblue Yonghwa episode 25. He asked Suga during promotion of his song and BTS I Need You , he asked what do they do during their days off, they replied “ write song and work”, Yonghwa said young artists don’t usually said that, they complain about not getting days off .. etc . That when he realized that how BTS different from other Idols. El Capitxn episode 27. He said to Suga “ because of you I became brighter again and I’m never going to let go of you “ . BST not only treasured each other’s friendship, but other friendships than BTS. Times flew so fast…we are excited for 2025.

My opinion of Suga has changed over the years since their debut, from grumpy, depressed, scared and injured to what he is now - he has grown into himself and banished many of his own demons. I am so glad he decided to do this talk show in the manner that he has, and as he told Jimin during his interview - he wanted to do this to give his members a soft place to land as they embarked on their solo careers, wouldn’t it be nice for them to talk freely about what it was really like to morph into solo versus the team and also to talk about the fact that the military service was looming right in front of them. Thank you for your reactions- I enjoy your analysis of BTS always.

@@loredell you need to listen to what Yoongi himself has said about those days he's mentioned many of those things thoughts and feeling including his anger both in his solo work his group work in just taking to ARMY on live streaming while talking with the members on camera and in their book. He was often in a lot of pain both physicially due to his accident nearly getting killed in that car crash incident which finally resulted in his shoulder operation and the of course his mental heath issue's which he's spoken and rapped about openly.

It sounded like Suga was the only one for Jimin, and we know, after watching Beyond the Star, that's not true, T and D , RM, J-Hope, Suga and a couple dance teachers were all adamant to keep Jimin. Suga, however, was the one who insisted Jimin not rap, but that his voice was unique and beautiful and Jimin belonged on the vocal line.

Thank you. I am an older person who is a long time fan of BTS, especially their self-produced content, that shows them off stage; like RUN BTS, BTS IN THE SOOP, and BON VOYAGE, and BTS BOMBS. I’ve long felt that their genuine love, and commitment to each other, as well as to ARMY, is what has caused so many fans to feel that same love and commitment to them. I think SUCHWITA is wonderful. I’ve watched all the episodes many times, and been so impressed by Min Yoongi, and by the way he so obviously KNOWS the artists, but what special qualities they bring to their craft…….BUT, I wondered if I might be to biased……….then, to hear you confirm these things……I am so happy. People who don't seek out power are typically the ones who are better suited to weilding it. I think Yoongi being hesitant to produce a group and his firm rejection of ever being the leader of BTS whenever the topic comes up says a lot. He may not want to produce a group (which we can accept and respect that wish) but I think we all know that he would probably be a postive force in those kids' lives. He's guide them well and put their personhood above being a perfect idol. Humanity matters to him so much. He's similar to Namjoon in many ways which is probably why we see Yoongi entering an unofficial leadership role in the group without intending to. When they're no working, he allows Namjoon to take a step back while he and Jin (and very often Hobi) take the reigns.

I agree that Suga would make a good producer... but it runs counter to want his personal goal is regarding other work. Suga has expressed that he would like to become a certified counselor. He's acknowledged that it something that takes a long time to achieve but it is something he wants to do. I COULD see him specializing in helping trainees, idols and other entertainers deal with the pressure ; fear of failure; anxiety of success; and the cycle of album-tour-album-album. As a producer he would feel torn.

I adore Suchwita. I cannot stand american style talk shows. Vacuous prescriptive or plain ignorant. I have noticed how Suga I noticed helps people by networking, making connections for people. He seems to have a genius level intuition for knowing what people need. There are so many stories that have come out from various people telling how just a simple suggestion, comment or introduction was a significant turning point in their lives. I think he is able to this because he has an extreme sensitivity to people he meets one on one.

Maybe they should include a disclaimer like how America do it for everything in case people complain or get sued when a kid decides to drink after watching. 😂
