FOR ANYONE WATCHING THIS IN 2023: Please forgive this audio and lack of visual examples. I have since worked on my filming and edits. I have also recreated this video in a much more digestible video so go check that out you friendly scumbag.

My bane has been thin milk and TIL that perhaps expanding with more air wasn't actually helping as you suggest that aggressive aeration could cause issues. Would have loved to see an example of what that looks like, because I've been truly stumped with inconsistent results whenever my milk is thin. Granted I suspect milk age and how much fat content is present (I vigorously shake my milk, I swear!) tends to be my biggest enemy each time.

No disrespect to others uploading how to do latte arts (wanting to share their knowledge with others) but Emilee is by far - hands down - one of the best "teachers" on how to do latte arts. She takes the time to explain the concepts, techniques and visually show in detail what is needed to be accomplished to be a success. Thank you so much for sharing.

For real, I see 500 videos on “how to do latte art” but it’s just a video of them pouring. Although they’re good, they can’t really explain why they’re good.

I work at Starbucks and I know how many baristas say it’s not “real” coffee but I love watching these types of videos to strengthen my barista skills and make a better cup of coffee! Hopefully by the end of the year I can achieve decent-ish latte art!!!

We all start somewhere. Starbucks is great for learning many skills associated with being a barista! I myself started in Costa coffee and now work as head barista in an independent speciality coffee shop. Happy coffee journey

Making "real coffee" is neat, but health benefits, tuition reimbursement, etc are all also dope.
Okay, legit, this plus the three styles heart video made something click in my brain and I've suddenly went from hearts that usually failed to two and three stack tulips after a day of practice. Damn good advice and super clear and concise to follow! Who knew that swirling your espresso before pouring could have such an effect?
Can’t believe it’s actually for free on a KZread. Thanks for your content, I actually did almost every single mistake that you explained in this vid. Looking forward into drawing a nice milky arts. Thank you!
Whilst Emilee’s parents thought she was studying hard to become a lawyer, they didnt know she was hanging out in latte art speak-easys. Now she cant get off the milk crack designs. (excellent stuff Emilee)
I'm starting my training next week and I've been watching Barista training videos and tips to prepare myself for it. And your videos have really helped. 😌
This video alone deserves a sprudgie. Seriously. This is the BEST. Explained everything I’ve been trying to figure out with my latte art!
Started in this latte art things from last year, always got failed result for almost 1 year. After watching just 2 videos (just TWO!) from you last night, for the first time I got decent result this morning. And that’s really made my day! I still need to practice and try to fix my method. Thank you so much Emilee! Thank You!!
This is so so so informative! I can’t wait to pour my next cup and see if I can improve it with these tips! I’ve been wondering for ages why the design might not appear and this just gave me so much insight into why. Thank you for sharing this!
Needed to learn latte art but just wanted to just watch fun videos. KZread never disappoints.
This is the detailed explanation I've been seeking for a literal decade! THANK YOU
This was so detailed and helpful. Thanks for sharing your insights! Champion.
This is insanely useful, i do not have consistent latte art and ive been trying to get better. Part of that if the equipment(im a sbux barista) but ive been looking for my flaws and this video has so far been the most useful! thanks!
You teach this so well and everything you've explained tells me exactly what I'm doing wrong on my latte art. I've been having inconsistent pours though my milk has always been pretty good. It wasn't until I saw your demonstration and explanation that I was able to see all my mistakes. I purchased the 22 oz round spout pitcher and am excited for that to come in to try all and improve my skill. Thanks so much and it's definitely worth my sub.
Thanks Emilee. Timely and much needed expertise for this espresso tyro.
I have to say. You have an extremely engaging and amazingly friendly personality. It's a pleasure to listen to you in your videos. Good stuff.
Your tip on waiting until the crema has passed the flat part of the cup makes perfect sense! I have finally been getting the hang of my latte art, but I've been frustrated that I always have "square corners" on the bottoms of my tulips and rosettas and couldn't figure out why. Thank you for an excellent explanation! Can't wait to try this tomorrow morning 😀
Tip three literally upgraded me 1000x from where I was. Could not figure out what I was doing wrong but turns out I was just filling my cup too much!! Thank you for the tip!!
Extremely helpful! I've gotten such better pours after watching this video multiple times. Thank you Emilee!
love your energy! makes me want to practice "latte-art" even more. Thanks from the Netherlands. I will continue tomorrow because I am pretty dizzy on all that coffee today...
Really appreciate these videos. I just stumbled on to your channel a week ago. There are great tutorials out there that have helped me but you fill in critical missing details. It seems like every time I watch one of your videos I go, "Oh! That's what's causing this thing that's happening in my pours!" Many thanks, super helpful.

These were the details I was missing that not a lot of other baristas on KZread mention! Thank you so much from a new barista, I would get so frustrated why my designs were coming out abstract haha

Amazingly good explanations! Thank you!
Thanks Emilee, great insights. Appreciate it.
LOVELY VIDEO AND DETAILED INFORMATION TO MAKE CORRECTION ON THE SMALL MISTAKE
I’m on holidays at the moment so can’t try these things out - but just wait till I get home. I’ve tried for years to do coffee art but until Emilee I didn’t really understand what and why. I’ll get back with comments as soon as I progress. Thanks Emilee.
So lovely and helpful. Thanks.
Finally someone who explains the reasoning behind the technique!
Even if i pay for being taught latte art where i live, i won't even receive half of this much info and knowledge. Thanks a bunch

In my opinion baristas had to adapt during covid. I love hearing that a drink is for here when it comes to latte art. Unfortunately for about a year we had to do to go cups only at a coffee shop I manage. I think the trick is to lean the cup down almost sideways and slowly pull it upward as you pour high and quick to get to the top. If you go to slow you can get bubbles and or separation. To go cups I have to pause before I start and focus. You can't hesitate or pause with it.
Thanx Emily. Great tutorial vide. Much appreciated from many I'm sure
Now I finally know my mistake...that was so informative thank you so much!

Nice video, great tips!
I feel inspired to try do some art now! I'm not a barista but making coffee is on my duties list, among others, so i wanna improve my skills
Dude you're the only person I've seen mention mug vs bowl shape During covid we've been using only to go paper cups and generally you put lids on those and don't worry too much about the art cus of course the to-go folks wanna leave lol But we're still doing paper cups even for here service and most people don't want to waste a lid which is understandable it's taken me a while to adjust to having to pour into a more cylindrical shape and this video is so helpful Thank you so much
