Since I started watching your videos I actually enjoy cleaning and don’t get overwhelmed with large messes anymore. Growing up I had really bad OCD and had to grow up too fast. I didn’t have much of a childhood and my mom was a drill Sargent with cleaning. I spent all my time perfecting the home, but didn’t have a life. I always associated cleaning to stress and loss. So later on I let go of all that and let my depression take over. I’d wake up and had nowhere to walk. I became the opposite of what I used to be (I lived two ends of the extreme - super clean and super messy). But now with your positive attitude I’ve reframed my thinking about cleaning and actually am okay with picking up the trashes. I’m no longer defeated or overcome by excess cleaning, or excess mess. I can create a mess and clean up right after - I am in balance ❤️ Thank you

Dear Aurikateriina, I have just seen a lady in Greece, running a dog rescue, trying to feed and desex 800 dogs, totally overwhelmed. I am sure she would SO love a little personal love, in a clean up. I am not sure, but I think she only has one of those ancient permanent caravans to live in... I am sure she would gratefully take as much cleaning product as you could organise, any pet food, towels, blankets - even second hand... Maybe even a 10 kg washing machine and/or freezer. I live in Oz, on opposite side of world to Europe. I don't know her name, I only know her dog rescue is DASH DOG RESCUE, I think in Messine. It would also be a fabulous place to visit for a week after helping. Amazing history and beauty in the area. I really hope you could help in some way. Even if you ask people to send unwanted towels, blankets, dog or cat beds to her, if living in Europe. I so wish I could do more, but shipping from Oz, means towels, etc would cost so much to ship, it would probably be easier to send money and buy new in Messine.

I've struggled with depression in the past (for 10 years) and know how hard it can be to even get up and wash a dish. Thankfully, every week or so I would make a plan to "get my life together" and watch these types of videos before bed. My little brother,22 yo, passed away in Feb (suicide) and his house was so far gone it made me remember my own struggles. He was suffering in silence like I once was. Yours videos motivate me to keep going and to keep my home tidy, even with a newborn. Thank you for the inspiration to be better every day. ❤💕💕

No fume oven cleanser has really made it easy for me to clean my sink and tins used for cooking. No more scrubbing trying to get the grease out or being stuck with oily-looking pans/baking sheets. That and aluminum foil to scrub certain metals to remove rust are tricks that I wish I had known before turning 30! I would have saved so much time scrubbing! Good job on sharing these tips. Many people (especially men) leave home and they have no clue how to clean or do laundry. Thankfully, my mother made me do these tasks at home so I learned. In university, I was shocked to see men who didn't know how to cook pasta or didn't know that you shouldn't mix your whites with your colours.

For a kettle if you don't have citric acid, you can use lemon juice or white distilled vinegar about 1tsp - 1tbsp with the minimum amount of water to remove limescale as well (the vinegar might smell a bit bad but it really does the job and the smell dissipates quickly)

OCD involves LOTS of mental anguish -- there is no 'satisfaction' and you don't interpret things through normal a normal lens, banal things can seem life-or-death and panic inducing. It is an exhausting way to live and while others have already mentioned it to you I feel it is worth saying again because it is important. It is not the same as being a clean-freak. Thank you for this. I love cleaning, it is like therapy for me. Since I have been going through chemotherapy for my retroperitneal nonhodgkins lymphoma, I have not had the energy to do the super deep clean like you are doing and it is breaking my heart that my home isn't getting the deep clean that I like it to get. Your videos help me to picture me getting the deep clean I want. Thank you so much. I also love all of the products and tools that you use. I have not yet been able to use the Scrub Daddy products because I can't afford then because my money is super tight because of medical bills so I get cleaning supplies from dollar tree and make do the best I can.

I know how you feel. I did chemo for lung and liver cancer. I had enough energy to go to the bathroom. I was Mrs Clean and it killed me not being able to do it. My family treated me to a cleaning service for a bit. I went into remission and very slowly, slowly I was able to start doing things again. Stay mentally strong and remember you come first. The dirt will wait.

I sometimes get a little nervous seeing you deal with electric stuff and water. In a toaster there are things like capacitors that save electricity even if the power is set of and the plug is out. With the microwaves you mostly did not even put the plug. I always have to hold my breath. 😂 I hope you are careful, just want a lovely person like you to be as save as possible. 😘❤

Great video as always❤ I would like to add one health relevant step: The part of your sink faucet were the water is coming out (perlator/bubble filter) can get dirty, accumulates lime and bacteria can grow there that get in your drinking and cooking water. You can remove it with tongs or special tools and let it sit in vinegar or something nontoxic agens. Replace it if it does not get clean, they are not very expensive.

I also did the windows which mustn't have been done in ages (we have been here 3 years) and they were dirty when we moved in I soaked them with hot water which helped but so many flies. I need this kind of video about bathroom and toilet cleaning. I can't seem to get calcium from my toilet and I've tried everything except for vinegar because the smell makes me want to puke :D I also understand how you get excited about dirty things, I also love cleaning areas that are dirty because the result is so satisfying! I don't think I would be able to do what you do when you clean these super messy houses though. I also enjoy cleaning the windows :) Hugs from Poland :)

Proper pumice stone is good for getting rid of calcium in toilets. It is softer than ceramic so wears away before scratching. Helped an old lady out whose teenage boys used to leave urine in the bowl overnight and never cleaned. Just be sure to keep it seperate from pumice for your own skin 🙃

Auri, I always like watching your videos! As some comments say, I am also sometimes inspired to clean even more than already did, because of you. I would really wish however for tips about microfibre cloths - how do you wash them and all, to have them disinfected, or when you clean extra dirty homes, to be able to reuse them? Boil them first or something?

Okay, so thanks to Auri, I cleaned better than the "professional cleaner" I hired for end of tenancy clean. I literally cleaned for hours after the "professional cleaner" left.
