Thanks for your work. I'm intermediate bass player, this is the only channel where I can listen to plain bass guitar sounds, thanks so much.

I truthfully was not expecting this to be an emo cover video!!!!! Great work, and also I love camp cope so much!
I fell in love with an emo bass All I want emo bass
Phenomenal content as always. Surprised that Jawbreaker wasn't the Droner. I know you've covered them a bit before, but when I think of droning bass I immediately think of the entire Bivouac record.
Cool to see End of the Summer, I’ve loved that one since it came out
Super tight playing. Great work
Your tones are absolutely gorgeous

How do you get that bass tone? It’s amazing.
@SugarpillProd
2 жыл бұрын
It's just my Axe Fx preset, mixed with the DI track.
@olivierjacquet
2 жыл бұрын
A DI is a good way to record good basses. Amp simulations or Ir loaders like the Torpedo Cab M or the Lebass helps a lot in getting a powerful and wide signal.
@SugarpillProd
2 жыл бұрын
@@olivierjacquet I just use the DI for the low end. I'll low pass everything up to about 200Hz, then the Axe FX is what I use for the tone of the bass. But yeah, having a DI is always a plus. That way you can re-amp later down the line, if the tone you started with doesn't really fit the mix.

@@SugarpillProd what kind of bass and pickup? Steel or nickel strings? Love your P bass tone, trying to get there myself.
@SugarpillProd

@@bassheadjazz2708 It's a Mexican made Fender. The pickup is just the stock one they ship them with, and I use D'Addario EXL165 45-105 bass strings.

I've said it before, but I really wish you would list the artist and track name somewhere besides the lower right side of the video. Sometimes the artist name is impossible to read on the tiny thumbnail of the album cover. And unfortunately, I'm not so hip that I know all the songs. Maybe just list them in the comments?

The bass filler is the most interesting.
