Ooh I definitely want to get into the New Jedi Order series, though I need to finish the Thrawn trilogy first 😅

Regarding Malazan, since you liked Gardens of the Moon, there is hope that you will like the rest. GOTM is the weakest entry in the series and one of the hardest to get through for new readers. The writing gets way better from the next book. However, will just say that while its totally fine to take breaks between the books, try not to put too large a break between Malazan books, if you want to continue. The series is difficult and confusing even when read back to back. But long gaps will make you forget lots of things, which will lessen the experience for you.

That’s definitely something I’ve had to consider. It’s been since August or September since I read GOTM, and I know that story doesn’t pick up until book three, so I have been a little concerned if I’ll remember everything I need to once I get there. Once I’m comfortable with the series, I’ll probably pick up the pace a little more than I’m at now
