My dad worked shipping at LaGuardia airport in the early 90s and brought me and my cousins in after hours to see/ sit in the batmobile built for the movie before it was sent out to California.

In college there was this local who had a Stingray corvette painted like the bat mobile with yellow seats and yellow bat symbol on the hood. On Halloween hes dress up like Batman and drive around telling kids to stay safe OR he’d dress up like the joker and pretend he stole the car
The Batmobile's seats can turn into a medical bed when the batmobile goes into medical mode...you got to figure Batman and Catwoman have used this function for a different purpose and likely have a different name for it when using it for that purpose.
One overlooked feature, revealed by Harley Quinn in _Batman vol. 3 #43_ : "Batman changed in the car. Batman has a *machine* that puts his *pants* on. In the *car.* Batman's *crazy.* And I *know* crazy."
What I loved most about the ‘89 Batmobile was its armored shielding that covers the vehicle entirely whenever Batman isn’t driving in the streets of Gotham. It’s like a whole protective armor that completely guards the Batmobile from any harm or penetration (except from Red Triangle Penguin Thugs) and can still drop high explosives to bring down Joker’s Axis Chemicals Factory!

@@luisgomez8635 Of course you did, I'm sure everyone saw it.
the Tim Burton Batmobile was built on two Chevy Impala frames that were welded together... it had the functioning torch in the back for the turbine exhaust which did spit flames as saw in Batman Returns, it had two functioning Browning .30 Cal machine guns with sawed off barrels installed in the fenders, and for Batman returns the cylinder that lifted and turned the car was installed. Burton, like Nolan being of the mind that if it could be feasibly made to work, then he wanted it to work. which reduced the number of prop cars (like the shield model, which dropped grenades and wrecked the chem plant) needed for production. the vehicle was powered by a Chevrolet 350. also, the Tumbler. yes, genuine, physical models were used for all it's filming... but some of those physical models were RC replicas, on built to scale sets. which cut production costs and allowed them to film real actually. as per it's design it is capable of 120-125 MPH comparable to the P71 Ford Crown Victoria (P71 VIN code is the Police Interceptor) which is built capable of driving with top speed of 150 MPH, but governed, mechanically, or electronically depending on the model year to 125. though, unlike the Crown Vic the Tumbler has a manual brake control for the front left brake, and one for the front right brake on the left and right side of the steering wheel, allowing the driver to perform an 80 MPH zero degree turn by locking either front wheel. allowing for a 180 degree course change in a instant and the head back along one's original course.

One thing: zero *radius turn. A zero degree turn would be... unimpressive. 😉

I have a fact or 2 on one of the the Adam West/Burt Ward cars, I'd read recently 3 of them are in the UK in collections, 1 I have sat in for a second and it was on the Isle of Wight in a museum called Brading Wax Museum and it's run by a woman who drove the car daily so it had to be UK road legal, it looks odd with head lights indicators and side lights etc, the used Lincoln parts cost a fortune to get so the original Ford parts she scrapped and an economical european car was found and that was an 1989 Vauxhall Carlton Automatic with a 2.2lt engine, they changed the length of the car but the width was an exact fit, there are pictures of the car on google at the museum and the same one in an old auction listing in Dorset. When I saw it it, it had the reg K725JHK which will tell you it was registered for road use in the UK in 1971.
Three ad breaks and a sponsorship is a lot
I miss the little intro song
Why does Bruce have so many versions of his vehicles? He keeps wrecking them. Even the Tumbler was "destroyed" once.
Excellently (and fun to watch) put together video. Thank you WhatCulture Comics.
Didn't Harold build the AzraeBatsuit for Jean-Paul too? I'd love to see Rocksteady do a full, playable character of JPV's Batman with not just brutal, but vicious takedowns and gadgets. Just for the combat challenge arenas.
This would pop up as I’m going back through the Arkham games
If the security is so advanced on the Batmobile how in the hell did Jason Todd even mange to try to steal the wheels off of it?

Not to mention the time the bat mobile lost a wheel causing robin to lay an egg and allowing the Joker to get away. I believe that was at Christmas time or there about.

Please say the metric system too, It's terrible to multiply every number by 1.6x or divide every number by 2.205x
I just had a horrible vision of a future where WhatCulture walks the same path as WatchMojo
Anyone know what comics all the bat mobiles are in & the one with the 2 lanterns? And any other comics where JL members see the batcave for the first time.
Does anyone still use one of those big yellow wheel locks?
Is that the guy who built the batmobile batman the animated series or is that someone else.
Hmmmm. Here's one, other than Batman who else has driven the batmobile

Batman Has A Crime Lab/Detective Kit In The Batmobile. I Also Read In My Book That The Batmobile Speed Was 266 MPH. It Never Said, Top Speed Or Not, But It Does Say The Batmobile Can Go 266 MPH. What Do You Guys Think It Can Go Up Too 350 mph???? Tell What Do You Think I Heard The Number One Police Car Can Go 150 mph That's top speed of The Policemen Car!

Ads!!!! Boo the crowd hates that boo!! This is becoming too common in this channel. I get enough ads ever where else. If this keeps up I'm going elsewhere. I will not be watching this or any other video with ads. It's time to start taking a stand and letting these people know we won't tolerate this anymore!!!!

They need to make money too. Blame KZread for screwing over content creators in multiple adpocalypses well after it was made to look like a platform you could make a living on.
The moment she said '' DC comics'' I stopped watching. For a chanel dedicated to comicbooks that is horrendous.
