Funny how just as Bob Kane waited long after Bill Finger's death to even acknowledge his contributions to Batman's creation, everyone else waited long after Kane's death to finally admit to his misdeeds.

The only thing Bob Kane came up with was the concept of a superhero called Batman, Bill Finger came up with literally everything else.

Well, it's finally half. Jules has completed his takeover of WhatCulture. Three videos on three different channels up at the same time. I, for one, welcome our new egg overlord.

Bill Finger deserves far more credit than Bob Kane as Mr. Finger was the one who really improved the original Batman design, and gave Batman his real identity as millionaire Bruce Wayne, as well as having written Batman’s origin. As Bill Finger himself noted, he used the Shadow novel Partners in Peril as the basis for Batman’s debut adventure in Detective Comics #27, in Starlog #200, its noted that Mr. Finger based Batman after Doc Savage, Douglas Fairbanks, Zorro, & The Shadow. Comic writers rarely get acknowledged; its always the artists, and its rather wearying.

Wow. I didn't know that was how Burt Ward got his name.

There's also strong evidence Bob Kane stole Batman designs from artist Frank Foster. The nobleman dressed as a Human Bat concept came from a famous UK comic The Funny Wonder. Though it predated Bob Kane by 15 years. He still could have seen it.

It is certainly within the realm of possibility that he could have seen it. But if there's one thing I'll say in Kane's defense here is back in the thirties, people would have had a much harder time to just coming across something from another country. Even an English-speaking country like the UK.

I have a theory that I will always believe til the day I die! The Dark Knight Rises was intially going to be completely different. When Ledger died in Jan 2008, most of the plot was turned over to RockSteady to make Arkham Asylum which released in August 2009. Nolan's original Idea was for the 3rd movie to start the very same night the 2nd one ended. With the Joker taking over Arkham. Instead we got it in video game form because they knew recasting Ledger was not an option. Also why they were able to make such a great game in such a short development cycle. The story was largely done for them.

I thought Bill almost played the joker, and passed it to his good friend riven Williams who passed it on to Jack. Which is a lot of whoops so I say also fails

He said Burt made a lot of things in his book up because the editors said to "jazz it up" so I assume that was one of the fabrications.

Tough call. Ninja vs ninja. I would think daredevil’s heightened senses would give him the edge but with enough prep-time I think bats would find a way to get the edge back. This might actually be a situation where the fight ends in stalemate.
