2:00 tire tech here, tires very rarely blow up “without warning”. That’s why it’s important to consistently check your tires for damage, especially if they are more than 2-3 years old. (This is in a desert where it regularly hits 110+ degrees Fahrenheit, so your mileage may quite literally vary, but it’s important to check even in areas with habitable weather)

Lol! Being Canadian, I was waiting for the one that happened here. I thought at the beginning it might be the Port Mann. And…..it was. I live right by the second bridge that connect to Surrey from New Westminster. I live a block from the Pattullo Bridge in New West. There are so many days where I can’t even see the bridge, the fog is so bad. They are building a new Pattullo bridge to replace the old one, but it will only by 2 lanes each way. Also, to hear of Yorba Linda on here was interesting, as I ship product there for my work often. 😂

Assuming of course that the simple driving test of today still teaches it when it was compulsory to pass it in the eighties - I doubt it though. He was a good reverser though.

  • @RoMayDrako

He wasn't going to fast. Slow the video down around 17:43 it is not until 17:47 that you see on dash cam the first light from the truck not the trailer. Looking closer while the trailer had hazards they were very low - small - and barely visible on camera till near impact (17:49). Also take in note that a trucks visibility is much different then a tesla. Chances are the cement truck did not see the trailers four ways because by the time they would be visible they were out of the trucks field of site.
