Why don't you mention the paycheck Hunt was getting for those fights ?I know he's a legend but the guy is like 20:10 and he was headlining fight nights for 880000 that's crazy money ,PPV main event stars have been getting waaaay less so if he didn't want to fight those roid freaks he shouldn't have accepted in the first place

Deni Daniro the only fight in that run that you can criticize Hunt for at all was MAYBE the Brock fight. Regardless, no amount of money can compensate you for the unknown risk of taking damage from someone roided up

Yep. Just MMA......plus boxing, kickboxing, karate, TKD, BJJ, wrestling, muay thai, sumo, judo and pretty much every other combat sport in the world. Actually come to think of it, yellow cards in soccer are pretty much the same thing. I mean shit, fouling someone in basketball is blatantly cheating but you still get a whole handful of those before you get the boot. Even if the foul is accidental in MMA they're still not allowed lol That's why they're fouls and result in point deductions if they keep happening.

Wrestling does have insane weight cuts as well. I remember one of my teammates cut from almost 170 down to 138. We had meets every Thursday so on Monday practice we were expected to be no more than 7 pounds over. This kid would routinely show up 22 pounds over. Only missed weight once.

I would say Richard Sherman’s “I’m the best corner in the game, Crabtree is a sorry ass receiver” rant in his interview right after the Seahawks beat the 49ers in the 2013 NFC championship definitely helped push him in to super stardom, but that’s the only one I can think of outside if MMA.
