Better codecs? Both the Sony Wf1000xm3s and the Airpod Pros support SBC and AAC. There's no aptx, aptx LL, aptx HD or LDAC support on either.

A lot of things have changed and this is my opinion on your points 1. I think the price is justified and reasonable now for the quality and features but initially they were pretty pricey 2. Yeah they're pretty big 3.why is ANC a reason to not buy them?? 4. Mine came with 3 sizes of Comply and 3 of rubber plus the ones already on the earbuds 5. in ear is a preference and over ears are more comfy but earbuds are wayyy smaller, more convenient, and more portable so it's not really a comparison 6. I won't pretend I've done research on this so I can't really comment on the Codecs 7. The name is dumb but not a reason to not buy them 8. You can have each earbud connected to two different devices and play different things through each earbud 9. NFC and pairing has worked fine with mine 10. Phone quality is alright imo it blocks out most of the black noise but it's not a phone microphone So basically you have: they're expensive for most, and they're pretty big but have a very long battery life...

ANC is really weak

1. The price is justified for all the features and sound quality. The Airpods didn't feaure half the functions of this earbuds but was priced like that because, hey, it's Apple. So saying this earbuds are expensive because they cost almost the same as the AirPods which where checked as expensive is a complete fallacy. 2. The size of the case is that big because of the large battery that will provide the earbuds 3 complete charges and not because of bad design. They fit perfectly on any pocket. 3. Seriously? Having ANC (which works really good and is optional) is a flaw or a reason why not to buy it? Since when more functions are bad for a product? You're hating on the design which is something very subjective. 4. Haha! So none of the 6 tips provided by the product fit you? No one believes you that haha. This video is stupid, really. You could have also added more reasons why not to buy them: 11. They don't fly. 12. They don't prepare meals. 13. They don't wake you up in the morning. 14. They don't produce money.

@@zezahid5 Did you know. 1. There's no water or dirt resistant. So if one buds suddenly stops working due to sweat or water? There's no way to replace them. 2. For that size. Sony could add wireless charging sensors on the back. Why didn't they do it?

Hahaha. I bought this headphones about 3 months ago and today it is one of the best gadgets that I have. Seriously they are perfect. 10 reasons to buy the Sony wf1000xm3: 1 the sound quality it's just amazing and it's incredible that two tiny headphones can give you an awesome sound experience. 2 the battery. Seriously if you use it in a normal way the case can take 2 weeks without charging it. And when I bought it, with the half of the batterie (that were in when I used it for the first time) it took 1 week to lose all the batterie using it all the days. 3 the elegant design of the case and the headphones it's pretty cool. The best option if you are going to buy one are the black ones, I love the combination of gold and black in this headphones. 4 the technology of this headphones. You look like God putting your finger on the touch panel to talk to someone, all the people that look at me with this say the same: "wow, what a nice headphones do you have" 5 the artificial intelligence. They can recognize the environment to know if you are standing up, sitting in a chair, or in the public transport to change the type of noise canceling. 6 they are pretty confortable too You can be with your music chilling on your bed for hours using it. 7 the size. Most of the people that reviewed this on KZread said that they are so big (like in this one) but it's not true. Seriously they are smaller than the palm of your hand and It can be in all the pockets sizes without being annoyed for it. 8 the fast charging. With 10 minutes of charging you have 90 minutes of amazing sound experience. 9 the adaptation of your ear. You can't be uncomfortable with this headphones because of the sizes of silicon tips. There are so much sizes that it's impossible be uncomfortable with it. And they have ear recognition technology to analyse your ear and adapt the headphones for you, freaking awesome. 10 the grip. They are very safe and it will not fall off your ear Plus: the interchangeable silicon tips helps too. If one of this silicon tips is dirty you can easily remove it and wash it with normal soap, easy right? Amazing huh? Perfect ones and much better than apple airpods (and very much beautiful too)

@@AMK78 they are perfect for long walks and use it working. And yes, I used the long tips but I prefer the smallest tips because they are so small that they can enter deeper than the other ones

They just released a firmware update. Before you could only use the Google Assistant, now it can use Amazon Alexa AND you have an option to CONTROL THE VOLUME! I love mine and wouldn't replace it for any other earbuds so far.

I sent them back. I travel on trains a lot and the noise cancelling was only half as good as the headphones. Totally agree about the ear tips. They were comfortable, but didn’t seal very well.

Maybe I'm late, but Sony's audio quality is superior, the sound is very clear, but if you want a little bit more remarkable low frequencies like bass, then get the galaxy buds. Anyway, remember all of them have their own apps and there's something called equalizer. ;)

Any USB type C will work.

Question! If You customize the EQ, ANC settings and all the touch control settings using the app on one device (your phone), and you connect the buds to another device (your computer) which doesn't have the sony app, wound the EQ settings and everything you just customized using the app be changed or will they remain unchanged?

The EQ is uploaded and it seems like the ambient settings etc as they seem to kick in when I move from say my iPhone to iPad before I even open the app

No Bluetooth headphones are any match to KZs ... Coz AAC won't be able to transfer all the beats to your earphones.

Honestly, noise cancelling doesnt work for travelling in India, especially for public transport. You need to stay alert and aware of your surroundings and these wont help. Air travel and trains is still okay.

I think battery life sucks on them, maybe I got faulty air buds, but mines without noise cancelling and every extra thing turned off listening on mid volume level last no more then 2.5h

Like this earbuds have only 2 main flaws (now that with the new firmware you can adjust the volume with the buds): 1. No water resistant. 2. No wireless charging.

Yes. This comment is so true! However I don't personally think that water resistant is that important unless you will be working out in these, for everyday commute even on rainy days an umbrella will keep it dry. I was disappointed when I saw that they don't support wireless charging but NFC. But after a year of use, I don't really care for the wireless charging anymore considering how fast they charge and how much charge can be held in the case. Even if you've drained the case and earbud's battery yesterday, 20minutes fast charge will get you around 3 hours. The NFC function also helps it's other flaw which is that you can't simultaneously connect with more than one device. The NFC scan is like a connect/disconnect toggle, so just scan the case so it disconnects from the phone and is ready to connect to another device. Another plus for this is that you don't have to use them both at the same time! They can both serve as the main earbud unlike some cheaper wireless earbuds. This means if you are lying on your side in bed or the batteries are running low, you can put one in the charging case and use one earbud temporary. This is such an useful function that I can't go back to cheaper true wireless earbuds anyone. Oh and also active noise cancelling... How did I live without you...

Bro i bought them today but they are not loud enough

I had the bose soundsport free while everything was good they were hefty and large. which would cause them to fall off a lot of times. I lost one once and was finding on the streets with the help of its app feature. but still, if they are even close to it not worth buying if it just drops out of your ear. I am confused whether to go for true wireless or just wireless over ear. just because these large sony would just fall off while owrking out and stuff. the new sp800n are an option as well but reviews say their ANC is that good in anyway.

Personally, I wasted my money on these. The sound quality and noise-cancelling are great no doubt about it. But that is pointless when it is does not fit my ear. Whether it is because I have small ear canals or what I don't know, it was not too comfortable in my left ear but it was okay, and my right ear was absolutely awful every single plastic bud was too big for my ear, it would not fit at the right angle I cannot explain how bad it was. So that was a waste of money, I gave them to my uncle instead and he bought me Huawei Freebuds 3. The only options that I then had were Apple Airpods Gen 2, Huawei Freebuds 3, JBL Tune 220, and Altec Lansing True Evo Air. I ended up purchasing Huawei Freebuds 3, the noise cancelling is not comparable to the Sony WF-1000xm3, but it was the only one of the four them noise-cancelling. The sound is obviously not going to be good as the earbud king Sony, but it's better than the other four options. But the most important thing, is that it actually fits my ear, won't fall out, and is not bulky.

These earbuds don't have a water resistance rating so using it while sweating is a risk we didn't want to take!

I wish I had found this before buying these. They don't fit and walking and talking always has these slipping out. Comfort is horrible, calls are horrible quality, the app is constantly causing a tone and change in noise canceling. Way happier with my Anker soundcore liberty 2's

It is important to note that the Sony’s can now be bought refurbished for $105.

@Nick Gur Why would I lie. I am using it since May 2020. I never used it more than 90 min before. I found online and turn off DSEE HX later and listen music in mid volume -which I never prefer- now it last 3:45 max with sound cancelling off. With DSEE HX open and sound a little less than max 2 hours top which I normally use. I am still using them just because of the sound quality. How long your buds last?

Very insightful actually raising the practicality of how and what earbuds are designed for ultimately. I own them, I like (not love) them. The only issue I personally have is the AAC codex - sound quality just isn't as good; especially for the price that came listed with it. Thumbs up from me (new sub as well). Loved your controversial take on this, and definitely would love to see more of this.

@@DHRME They are not banana compatible :-) Seriously, i too back my old wf-1000x since subsequent updates they are much better And on some points much better than last sony except sound quality... Poor fit was the biggest issue, always had the feeling they would fall, ear fatigue after 1 hour, no voice cancellation in open space, poor call quality in the street, tried to use them under a hood to protect them from the rain...had to disable both ears touch controls,...and the list goes on... For commuting the wf-1000x are almost on par with the wf-1000xm3 thanks to their better fit for me

@@DHRME Since i have upgraded my phone from xperia Z5 compact to Galaxy S10, i have no more audio lag (movies or youtube are perfectly in sync) nor connection issues with the wf-1000X..maybe it is the switch to android 9 and the bluetooth 5.0 as well as being able to choose AAC codec instead of SBC.I have the impression that battery life has improved as well. Sound quality i think is still better on the WF-1000XM3 ..I can live with that...Active noise cancellation adds a little bit to the passive noise cancellation... So for the price for a refurbished WF-1000XM (around 60 euros), they are a steal...I have bought a 2nd pair not worry about battery life.

I think when you said about it's size: Bose soundsport is more larger like hulk About the seal.. it works best for my ear.. there variety of size it comes. The sony wf1000xm3 are big af, also heavy and basic the way they are designed to stay in your ear is off the ear tips only (bad design). This earbuds would have been so much better if they had either fins or ear hooks or just a better design
