Hey all, Hope you all are doing amazing, so you might have questions about yorkie and today I'll be answering 10 most common questions I get about yorkies.
But before I get started, I would like to give you a warm welcome to this channel where we make amazing yorkie video and I would like you to consider subscribing to fill with tons of lovely yorkie videos
alright let's get started, first question
1. How much exercise do they need?
Though this breed is tiny, this is not a self-exercising breed. Yorkies should be exercised on a regular basis. take them for 1 or 2 walks a day and make you play with them for at least 30 mins a day, it help increase your bond with them
2. what to feed your yorkie?
You should try and give them a nutritious and protein filled diet. There are lots of easy to prepare food like rice, boiled vegetable, fruits, boiled eggs, boiled chicken, you can also mix in some packaged dog food but their entire diet shouldn't be just the packaged dog food.
3. Harness or collar?
Harness, never a collar, their necks are too delicate for a collar
4. is it tough to potty train a yorkie? ( are yorkies easy to potty train? )
it is. it is tough and that's usually common for most of the small breeds, however I have put together a video on potty training a yorkie you can check it out, link in bio
5. is yorkie the right dog for you?
Well, yorkies are the perfect dog for you,
if you like a tiny dog who's filled with energy and loves and to cuddle, plays a lot and spend time with you then yorkies are perfect
But if you want a dog that you don't have to spend much time with it, or a dog that's just mellow and all time calm, then yorkies might not be for you.
6. How often should I groom my yorkie
A quick brush daily and haircut once in every 6 weeks. You can also grow their hair and style it but that would be quite some work
7. are they good with kids?
Okay, so yorkies don't discriminate, they will love kids equally as much as they love adults.
But the reason why yorkies are not considered kids friendly is cause yorkies are delicate and kids can be sometimes careless, I mean me being an adult I'm always constant scared whenever I walk around the house so I don't accidently hurt him.
Nevertheless if you being a kid feels like you are responsible and would definetly be careful and gentle with them, go for it!
whereas if not careful they can easily be injured with multiple fractures.
8. Are yorkies easy to train?
Except for potty training, yes, they are pretty easy to train.
9. How long can I leave yorkies alone?
I made an entire video on this topic, but in short they can be left alone for a max of 2-3 hours as a puppy, and 4-6 hours as an adult dog
10. Yorkies for first time owner, yes or no?
Definitely yes!
Yorkie are really affectionate and loving and although there are challenges, I've spoken about the challenges in a video - my experience as a first time yorkie owner.

I really like watching woof gang videos because I don’t always get to see my yorkie and these videos really make me happy on a stressing school day. I suggest this channel when your new to owning a yorkie or you just want to know more about your yorkie. Overall this channel is what KZread needs. Good KZreadrs are rare and this channel is what deserves the views of channel that is doing nothing but growing big every day.

Aww That’s So Cute
Few notes from my experience: Previously we had a yorkie and Russel cross which my and my siblings were all born with. So we all grew around dogs so in that circumstance we got a full breed yorkie because we were familiar with care of Yorkshire terriers. While it may be important to not give pet food full time, we need to, our pup has a very sensitive stomach and cannot digest human foods, so he is fed biscuits enriched with the nutrients he needs
I really want a Yorkie I think it is a good breed for me especially because my mom had one so she can teach me what to do and what not to do.

I’m getting a yorkie and I told my family a suggestion for a name. I suggested Chewbacca or Chewy for short, I told them it was based off of this amazing KZreadr called woof gang, he’s the reason why I know so much about yorkies!

U wont believe but our yorkie got potty trained in just 2 days!!
I have an excellent opportunity to get a Yorkie, by chance from a breeder. This breed would have been too expensive for me but sadly the breeder has developed a medical condition and is choosing to end mating her pure breed Yorkies. My good fortune is that she has reduced the price substantially for me. I've wanted a small dog for years since I had a back accident and couldn't continue working. I have a lot of love to give and was in love with the dog the minute I saw him. However, I decided to go on the internet to get familiar with how to care for one as well as to learn about what medical conditions Yorkies might suffer from. I was immediately overwhelmed and heartbroken at the same time. He was going to be my therapy dog. My research read more like "What kind of medical conditions do Yorkies not suffer from. There are so many. Every condition stated that Yorkies are more prone to said conditions than not. My love is boundless but I fear not having the financial stability to keep my dog safe. I watched your video and laughed a lot. I would very much like your advice. are all these illnesses as rampant as they detail? What should I do?

For kibbles I give him Royal canin mini puppy starter pack and also I often give him pedigree chicken chunks! I mix these some of the kibbles with his food daily :)

Puppies upto 4 months - 4 times a day upto 6 months - 3 times a day post 6 months - 2 times a day Portion size - roughly around total of 200 calories per day!

Woof Gang and if they became an adult I gave them the same amount of calories ?

@@shadenessam1187 It's usually 200 calories for puppies and reduced to about 150 for adults, but I feel that would be too hard on them so I don't change the quantity. I feel as long as you don't notice them being visibly overweight that's fine :)
