Don't worry puppy care is pretty simple :)
Here are 7 things to do to be a better puppy parent
This video will give you guidelines on how to be a puppy parent, how to take care of a puppy and how to raise a puppy without being stressed :)
Raising a puppy isn't easy but if done right it can be a wonderful experience, hence welcome to a guide on puppy parenting I'll be sharing 7 things you should do to be a better puppy parent

1. Puppy proofing your home - Every single puppy will definitely go around trying to chew on anything or everything that comes it way. So it's really important to keep away valuables or anything the dog can easily grab on to like shoes. also it's really important to keep wires or electrical sockets covered, better to be safe than sorry.

2. Getting supplies - Now, you don't have to spend much. Trust me when I say, They would ignore the $200 toy you brought, just to go play with a water bottle.
so I've prepared a list which is everything you would be needing
food bowl, water bowl obviously
leash
either a collar or a harness, for big dogs collar, for small dogs harness
A name tag also adding your contact no to their name tag is very useful in case of emergencies
a crate (if you plan on travelling)
A dog bed - my yorkie doesn't ever use his bed, he sleeps with me, but if you don't want your dog on your bed, that's when you'll be needing it
food - so homemade foods are really easy to make all you have to do is boil few vegetables, little pieces of chicken or eggs and voila Other than that it's always good to have a packaged dog food, I prefer mixing little quantity of these kibbles with the homemade food to ensure they don't miss out on any nutrition.
And lastly toys - toys are a great way to keep them busy and give them something to chew on.
So there are tons of toys, which one should you buy? alright Pick at least one hard toy, a soft one and a ball, you have no idea how much dogs love Playing with them, just ensure you pick one big enough so they don't accidentally try and swallow it
3. Finding a nice vet - There are so many things I've learned about the care of my yorkie from my vet. So it's really important you find a sweet and kind vet who could guide you with the care of your dog.
4. House training / potty training - uhh every new puppy owner's nightmare. Some dogs take longer than others but if you are consistent with their training, they are gonna learn soon... I've made a video just for this topic on how you can potty train them in 2 easy steps. So I'll put the link in the bio.
5. Training with Positive reinforcement - so I know how frustrating training can get but here's the thing. They are gonna learn so much faster if you use positive reinforcement rather than scoldings or getting angry. So instead of scolding them for biting or nibbing on your hand, distract them with a toy and when they chew on their toy their give them loads of praises and treats, this not would not only teach them but would also make the entire process so much more fun and easier.
6. Socialization - During this time of pandemic socializing your dog can be tough but if you get the chance take your puppy to meet your friends, other dogs (for meeting other dogs, it should be only after their main vaccination which is given when they are about 3-4 months old), socializing your puppy would ensure your dogs grows up to be friendly and playful with people and dogs.

Don't stress - If there's anything at all you're worried about your puppies, feel free ask to ask me, I'll definitely reply.. but don't stress.. puppyhood is such a beautiful phase of their life, so make it a point to enjoy Playing with them, even make their training to be in a fun and playful manner. And you and your puppy would develop an amazingly beautiful bond that you're gonna love.

I would recommend that people get important nutritional supplements to food & also inform yourself on portions of protein /veggies etc Avoid most dry processed foods especially check that there are no byproducts & other harmful additives in their food

Jahlen Johnson Hi I do suggest you consult with your vet especially if your vet is holistic. There is a recipe book called Hilary Blend So with my pup I make these huge balanced recipe with the added multivitamin from the vet & I freeze it in 1-2 meal portions so if yours is just a pup probably 1/4 cup twice a day & when full grown probably 1/2 cup twice a day

Well, Harness is a strap around the body instead of the neck, For yorkies you will be needing a harness and a leash to attach to the harness!

How do i hold a puppy?
I have a question What are some things to do so yorkies will have less anxiety when alone?

I feel keeping them occupied by playing with toys or searching for treats would help reduce the anxiety. Try building their interests in toys and make toys seem more appealing to them! I have a nine month old yorkie pup and love watching your videos. My Chloe will sit, lay, roll over and high five... but I can not get her to come😔

I feel yorkies tend to get distracted very easily which makes it hard to get their attention. Although you can encourage her with lots of praises and treats for when you does come over.. this would build a positive association with the command. Wish you and your little puppy the best of times together 😊
I just got my dog in agust and he had 2 familys and she is also a yorkie but she is scared of squeaky toys what do i do

I remember the same thing happened with my puppy. That happens probably cause she wasn't introduced to squeaky toys before. Try moving it around her and show her how fun the toy is, but go slow, give it time and she'll soon love Playing with it 😊
