As tragic as the den no senshi porigon incident was, there is some good to come of it: it raised public awareness of photosensitive epilepsy, and most animators are a lot more careful about it now.

Fun fact: there’s one episode in the Pokémon Sun & Moon anime that was banned completely in Japan for having Ash dressed up in blackface, but in reality, he was dressing up like a Passimian (also, it was Passimian’s first time in the anime than in the game franchise)

As a kid, I enjoyed Ren and Stimpy for the same reasons that I enjoyed edgy newgrounds content. I enjoyed how far the team pushed the envelope with R and S, and always wondered "can they go farther than THIS!?" almost every episode. The difference with Ren and Stimpy and Newgrounds, though, is obvious. Something like Pico's School is made to intentionally be shocking/upsetting as a goof; nothing really serious after that. The creator of Ren and Stimpy on the other hand is actually a fucked up individual.

There's a PS1 game called "Nikita Hard" or just "Nikita" listed in many italian store websites from the '90, some people in italian forums from many years ago said they played it, but still I can't find anything about this game, it seemed to be some kind of a simulator adult oriented game. There is evidence of this being sold at some point here in italy, does this count as lost media? Also ,would be amazing if somebody actually knows something about it.

4:22 The Rai Rai Kyonshis game being Japan-exclusive wouldn't necessarily have prevented it from being listed in Play It Again's ad; notice that this same ad also listed a game supposedly titled "Zeta Gundam". This was *probably* meant to refer to the Famicom game "Kidō Senshi Zeta Gundam: Hot Scramble", which was also Japan-exclusive. Another game listed in the ad is "Aigina's Prophecy", which (according to Wikipedia) had a Commodore 64 port released outside Japan, but the original Famicom version remained Japan-exclusive. Another game it listed was "Titan Warriors", which (according to Unseen64) was in development in 1988 but was never released. And yet another game it listed was "Hulk Hogan" (written in bold text, and a note towards the bottom of the page says "Bold Face cartridges coming soon"... also note, *all four of* "Yeah Yeah Beebiss I", "Zeta Gundam", "Aigina's Prophecy", and "Titan Warriors" were also ones classified as "coming soon" here), which is a mystery itself: there was never any NES game with that exact title... so, possibly it was meant to refer to "WWF Wrestlemania" (but that game was released in January 1989, whereas the ad was published in June, which even when accounting for magazine-publishing lead time is kind of late for it to still be listed as "coming soon"), or alternately it may have been referring to an in-development game that was never released (possibly an NES port of the 1989 arcade game "WWF Superstars"?). (For more information, see the thread titled "A Few NES Listings..." on the Lost Levels forum and the thread titled "What About OTHER Games On The 'Yeah Yeah Beebiss I' List?" on the Lost Media Wiki forum; the people posting there identified some other Japan-exclusive games and unreleased games listed in that ad.)

5:09 What's funny about that line is that Sonic really DID take the entire globe by storm. Maybe because Sonic's character design was easier to digest, maybe the game's lowkey environmental themes, or maybe Sega was more inclusive. But anyways, Sonic could be found in countries than Mario. For example, Russia had an infamous Sonic TV quiz show. And India promoted the Genesis with a honestly great commercial. It does feel odd that Sonic was able to almost immediately grow globally, especially that Mario existed 10 years before the blue blur.

I showed him the great giana sisters, and he said it wasn't that, it was actually smb. I showed him smb gameplay and he said "yes, it's that one!". @@polipod2074honestly idk what this could mean either. My dad didn't play that often on his commodore so he doesn't remember much. I guess it could be a bootleg? doubt something could escape from those developers. The only thing he's sure about is that he got most of his games from a friend of his through piracy. Sadly he threw away his commodore and his games because they were pretty much unused, so i guess the lost game might be somewhere in an italian landfill. The only chance i see of this being found is from that friend, because he loved computers so he likely still has his floppies somewhere, but my dad has been out of contact with him for a while

A little late, but we know the titles and plots of Jack and the Pack. The reason why it was cancelled was that Hit didn't want to compete against itself (Hit also owned Bob the Builder at the time)

Sonic The Hedgehog: Awakening might had been a story DLC like the Amigo DLC for Sonic 06, i mean i dont actually think it was a sequel knowing that the game had a pretty rough development cycle that almost costed Sega way too much, and the only other game being developed alongside 06 was Secret Rings, so that covers the quota for sonic games at that year (quota of console games not handleheld ones or other types) Besides it does sound like a title for a DLC rather than a full on sequel, it might had been secretly cancelled when was mid production when ratings of 06 literally gave the game its ultimate demise and people werent as fondly with Silver back then than nowdays, so it couldn't had been a good idea to release an entire DLC story based around Silver when they are getting flak for the game and Silver as well. Now its only an speculation, i dont actually know anything about this aside from what we already know but i wanted to give some pointers here because i think people are searching for a whole game when its more logical to believe its a DLC for 06, because those are usually cut content from the original game or things that were left behind in production for lack of time or polish and eventually gets into the game as a DLC instead of delaying the game again to get it in time, we might not have anything at all because i dont believe the thing got anything substantial to justify its existance aside from that reference, and might be the only thing that's left from it.

This is kind of a dumb request, but the Beatles cartoon has not had any kind of home release and the only documentation of it exists from blurry VHS recordings from the 1980s. People are wondering where a higher quality version of it exists. For a long time people thought the original film reels of the episodes were being kept in some secret vault by a corporation; but it appears that they are actually scattered throughout the world; being held on to by collectors or sitting abandoned in storage somewhere. Even more rare are the original animation cels and drawings used in production.

The only missing episode nobody talks about is that one intro video for Ed Edd n Eddy when they first came out in Cartoon Network it was the intro video was about a dog chasing Ed Edd n Eddy. I know I'm not the only one that remembers that .now that's a video people should look into because that right there must have been part of a pilot video
