@@MrUniq as if his polar printer isn’t a robot. Hahah That thing is insane and novel!
Talked with the developer of the HT90, some takeaways -the cooling fan has a valve that allows cooling flow onto the part and takes .5 seconds to switch, so you can get much more specific about cooling and not cooling specific areas of a layer -prints peek beautifully. They had a 400mm high fin that i saw no wobble at the tip of -the machine wasnt moving the table at alll, incredibly stable. And yeah soo so silent -two different hotend assemblies that are attached by magnets and have a single plug at the top, one for high speed printing and the other for high temp printing -direct drive extruder and it can handle tpu
$2k for the Prusa is a lot of money. And priced for organizations that can claim it as a business expense. I really appreciate your more professional take on these new products. Getting technical analysis and wow-factor both in one video is really satisfying, and frankly its why I like your videos.
The 90 in the prusa stands for the chamber temperature and it's a game changer. That thing is not a toy, it's a proper industrial tool.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Excellent sealing and insulation are necessary for reaching, BUT as an added benefit it’s also great for sound insulation

@@NathanBuildsRobots Yeah but the main point is to make a 3d printer 90C capable you need to make sure all linear rails/bearings have high temp lube in them, plastic parts have to be very high temp, stuff can't melt, motors have to be high temp capable. Metal will expand in the high temp so it's very challenging to build this printer. However once you print ABS/ASA at 80C chamber you will never go back. First you need to throw everythig you know about ABS printing out the window. You need an astronomical amount of cooling (which is why they have CPAP) but parts never warp and the layers fuse together completely and you will experience ABS prints with actual layer adhesion and very nice sufrace quality. This is an amazing product and here you are talking about that it's quiet LOL.

Oh, new clones everywhere. Oh sorry I mean new Printers. The HT90 has some Amazing specs. 500c nozzle and 160c bed. Active chamber cooling for PLA. Just everything you EVER need.

It could be a good thing though, if they’re all making similar machines it will hopefully drive prices down and force innovation to stand out against the X1C and its clones.

Yeah. I was hoping for something new, something that would dethrone Bambulab, alas no.
It has been mentioned the filament system is not heated. The temp and humidity are informational only. I wouldn't even say Prusa pioneered the 4 bowden tubes to the hot end. Their work was based on the rest of the community.
If you want to dig into the K2 a bit: 1. Is the model there a production or pre-production model? 2. What cost cutting compromises can you see (aside from the lead screw count reduction)? Do you think any might compromise print quality? 3. Extruder and hot end: It's supposed to be an "Apus" extruder but doesn't look like the one from Phaetus. Volumetric flow rates have been mentioned to be 40mm^3/s+. BS scale from 1 to 10 given the hot end they are using? (is it just a slightly longer unicorn?) 4. How is the camera and lighting? Resolution and frame rate for streaming? 5. Any chance at demonstrating the closed loop motors (maybe unplanned disruption)?
The anycubic multi-filament system is also a heated filament dryer, similar to the creality one. The machine itself might not be quite up to A1 standard, but for the price and with some improvements in the multi-filament system, it's a cool little combo.
100% Creality CFS is not active drying. It’s desiccant’s there is a space below where the rolls sit for packs.
creality CFS does not have heating built in, sadly they were not able to get that working
The K2 seems like a nice improvement, almost giving me buyers remorse for the k1c even though I haven’t bought it yet 😅

Don't get excited too soon. If they still have an awful extruder design, the quality still won't be there. Don't buy a K1C, it still has issues. The Qidi Q1 Pro is a much better option for even less money.
Thats very nice waiting to unveil the Mako from slice engineering 👊 Nice guys over there..... Fiberon is freaking sick I saw another channel make a turbine with it also thier Petg Cf at $40 is going into my house soon 😅 3 nerds on a zebra trash bin 🎉 😮 what could go wrong.
Great update. I'll be there tomorrow weds.
any idea on the build volume of the Elegoo machine?
About a year ago I emailed Elegoo just on a whim asking if they had any plans for a multicolor printer. They said essentially that they were working on it, so judging by the poop shoot and little cutter button that I saw on the Centauri in this video, this is probably it. I’m guessing since they didn’t show it off, they’re probably still working on the actual MMU attachment, and if I had to guess they’ll launch the printer first and then the MMU later as an upgrade you can buy and add on.
The bin could take the full Joel 😂
Remember to ring that 🔔 and subscribe and like the video... That's to YOU dear viewer
Interested in seeing what that Elegoo printer is like. I got started in 3D printing on the original Neptune 3, moved to the Neptune 3 Pro and plus. Loved those printers.
Not a Prusa fan but that Print quality on Delta is night and day from the big Prusa last year. That looks seriously impressive.

Do you mind following up with this comment? Is there a reason you are not a fan of Prusa? I'm doing R&D and was wondering what your take is?
If you can review these new fiberon filaments it would be cool :)
I would like to know more about the T1 and the Elegoo Core XY. I have an Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro and it is great. But a closed printer to print with ABS is my next buy.
is the elegoo 256 cubed or 235?
Are you coming back to the perfect first layer podcast? If they said where you went, I missed it.
I must have missed you at the event. I was there today! I was surprised to see another new Elegoo 3d printer revealed! When you are in Los Angeles, make sure you do some fun stuff outside of the show like angel’s flight or the Huntington Gardens. See’s candy is also important as well as In-&-Out Burger.
Thanks for all the info man. I would love to go to one of these events, but I detest flying so thanks for being my surrogate. Would have been a hoot if the trash can blew apart, long as none of them got hurt of course. :)
Full review of S1 would be much appreciated
what size bed was the elegoo? looks like bambu size. 300x300 or 350x350 would have been nice
HT90 stands for 90°C chamber temp,

Thanks for the coverage. I wanna go to rapid next year maybe can get my employer to send me 🤔
The K2 AMS isnt a dryer sadly . Does have a chamber heater.
I see a Polymaker cowbell in my future.
The Kobra 3 ams is a dryer
While you are at Rapid, what's with the new filaments from Polymaker?

Yes, they do. As long as you only use one nozzle, waste is inevitable. But you can reduce waste by using the purge material for support structures, infill material or a separate print object, for example. However, this is more of a slicer setting than something the machine does on its own.

I understand the need for speed in 3D printing but my main concern is print quality. There's no point in making a part fast if that part is non conforming. Keeping this idea in mind, with all the clones hitting the market some I'm sure have better build quality than others. I bought a top rated printer last month and I am not able to print a cube with square corners. My old Flashforge Finder does much better with print quality.... it has much better print quality than this new "mega cool" printer I bought.
Hard to see the printers when your face takes up 1/4 of the screen... Just do voice over next time...
Idex?
please reduce (or remove) the size of your face insert - it hides more interesting things to see. (And never heard "alpha centauri" - the next planetary system?)
